Talented actors Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho may be starring together in a romantic comedy-drama!
According to some reports, the "Oh My Venus" actress Shin Min Ah was offered to the play the female lead of the film remake, "Mr. Hong," as a series. AM Entertainment, the actress's agency, responded to the reports and issued their statement commenting that the actress is considering the offer positively and is currently reviewing the project.
The actress was offered to portray the character of the dentist Yoon Hye Jin, a confident woman that possesses both beauty and brains. She's a shopaholic, and at first glance, she may seem materialistic. However, deep inside, she is kind-hearted and always does good deeds like donating to charities for those who are in need.
If Shin Min Ah accepts the offer, this will mark her comeback drama since "Chief of Staff 2 (2019)." Surely fans are excited to know if the actress would accept it!
Meanwhile, it was also previously reported that Kim Seon Ho is also in talks to star in the said drama. Reports were released that the actor was offered to star in the project and may possibly play the male lead. Kim Seon Ho's agency, SALT Entertainment, also released their response to the reports and commented that the actor is also positively considering the offer.
The romantic comedy themed movie "Mr. Hong" which is starred Kim Joo Hyuk and Uhm Jung Hwa, tells the story about a man named Hong Doo Shik who make ends meet by accepting all sorts of odd jobs around town and a woman named Yoon Hye Jin who is a dentist by profession and opens a dental clinic in the small town.
Moving forward for "Mr. Hong's" drama remake, Kim Seon Ho has been offered to star as the main male lead Hoo Doo Shik, the titular Mr. Hong, who is considered the hero who does odd jobs in the neighborhood to help people who are living there. He is a helpful man and doesn't ask much in return. He only accepts the minimum salary, whatever the task is. And he is very informal to both children and elders. Some people even find him mysterious as different rumors spread about why he was missing for a few years.
The drama will be penned by writer Shin Ha Eun, who also wrote "The Crowned Clown," and it is in talks to air on the tvN network in the first quarter of 2021.
Meanwhile, Shin Min Ah is also set to star in the drama "Here" written by Noh Hee Kyung, revolving around NGO volunteers, and Kim Seon Ho was also previously discussed to star in another drama titled "Link."
