CONFIRMED: Park So Dam to Star in the New Film ‘Ghost’

According to reports, the final cast for the film "Ghost" has been revealed, and here are the actors and movie details that you should look forward to.

The film will be directed by Lee Hae Young, who is also recognized for his work "Believer" in 2018. "Ghost" is a spy-action movie that is set in 1933 during the Japanese colonization of Korea. It will feature the story of five suspects who are reckoned as "spy ghosts," or another term for the anti-Japanese opposition spies. They will be trapped inside an abandoned hotel to be asked a series of questions, and the five suspects must be smart and witty enough to answer them to escape safely. However, the plot begins to twist as in the middle of an interrogation, and the five suspects will end up doubting one another.

It will be a cast full of talented artists, starting from Sol Kyung Gu, who will portray Murayama Jyunji, a Japanese police officer and a former soldier who used to work in one of Japan's intelligence agencies. However, he has been demoted to the surveilling communications team.

Meanwhile, returning on the big screen is the cast of the award-winning film "Parasite," Park So Dam. She'll play Yuriko, a woman who attains to become the mighty secretary of a high-ranking official inside the Japanese colonial government of Korea.

Honey Lee will also be part of the cast as she will be playing the character of Park Cha Kyung, who works in a communication company to record coded messages. Kim Dong Hee is also said to play Park Cha Kyung's colleague named Baek Ho. Whereas Seo Hyun Woo will portray chun Kye Jang. He's a fearful but sharp cryptographer who is unbelievably talented in the field of decryption.

Also, Park Hae Soo will be Kaito, a security agent who is leading the investigations about the "Ghost," that is said to be a spy who invaded the colonial government.

This will mark the return of actress Park So Dam into the big screen following her successful and award-winning movie "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon Ho. Fans are eager to see the actress in movie theaters once again.

It has also been confirmed that after finalizing the cast for the film, the production will immediately proceed to filming. Meanwhile, the previous work helmed by director Lee Hae Young titled "Believer" is a remake of the 2012 Johnnie To's film "Drug War."
