Baek Ji Young revealed she earns 10 billion KRW (or 9,070,055 USD) from from singing OSTs!
Currently, rumors were circulating about Baek Ji Young's OST income and Park Na Rae was able to address this issue during the latest episode of MBC's "Video Star" aired last January 19. In the show, Park Na Rae stated that what made Baek Ji Young the queen of OST was the song "Don't Forget."
The host continued, "We've heard some news you earned 10 billion Won in OST revenue alone. Was 'Don't Forget' the best?"
To which singer Baek Ji Young acknowledged the rumors and admitted that it was true. She explained that the song "The Woman" did great, however, compared to "Don't Forget," it didn't bring in as much income.
South Korean talk show Video Star airs on the MBC cable channel MBC Every1 on Tuesdays at 20:30 (KST). It is hosted by Kim Sook, Park Na Rae, Park So Hyun, and Sandara Park. The show's first-ever episode aired on July 12, 2016.

Korean singer Baek Ji Young is famously known as Baek Z Young. She was born on March 25, 1976. The 44-year-old singer started her career in the music industry in 1999 with the release of her album "Sorrow." Throughout her career in the entertainment business, the singer has released eight studio albums and won awards for Best Female Artist and Best OST at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
He first single "Choice" became one of the first Korean pop songs to feature Latin beats. Her single did well and it was quickly followed by a second album titled Rouge, which came out in April 2000 and sold 360,000 copies.
She also became a judge/coach on The Voice of Korea, the local version of the reality singing competition The Voice. Not only that she released plenty of albums and judging reality shows, Baek Ji Young has also sung numerous soundtracks for television dramas namely "Don't Forget" for "IRIS," "Love Is Not a Crime" for "Ja Myung Go," "Love and Love" for "Arang, and the Magistrate," and "Spring Rain" for "Gu Family Book."
One of the most famous OSTs she sang was "That Woman" from "Secret Garden," which took home the Outstanding Korean Drama OST at the 2011 Seoul International Drama Awards.
Baek Ji Young once shared in an interview that she loves to participate in producing music for soaps if she likes the female lead after reviewing the script. She feels thrilled to hear her song being played during the melodramatic moments in dramas. In 2013 she released an album, titled "Flash Back," which is a collection of the television drama soundtracks she recorded.
Moving forward, Baek Ji Young most recently sang "My Light" for the ongoing drama "Run On" OST.
