Upcoming historical drama "River Where The Moon Rises" dropped new stills of Lee Ji Hoon as an elite general.
"River Where the Moon Rises" is a drama remake of a classic Goguryeo folk tale. It will tell the love story of two characters, Princess Pyeonggang and On Dal.
Beautiful actress Kim So Hyun will portray the character of Pyeonggang who is born a princess and was trained to be a soldier. She is a woman with great ambitions and big dreams. She is committed to her desire to be the first-ever woman to lead Goguryeo. She will do whatever it takes to make ambition come true.
Since she's a smart princess, Pyeonggang knows the obstacles she will face in the future. She is set out to make her dream come true with her through plans.
However, things take an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with On Dal portrayed by Kim Ji Soo. He is a peace-loving man who only wants to live a peaceful and harmonious life. He is the exact opposite of Pyeonggang.
On Dal will eventually find himself forsaking his principles in order to keep Pyeonggang safe.
Another character in the drama is Go Geon, starred by Lee Ji Hoon. He is the elite general of Goguryeo.
On Jan. 26, the drama's production team released a glimpse of Lee Ji Hoon's character.

In one photo, General Go Geon looks calm and confident as he exudes an aura of dignity and grace. With one glance, we can instantly notice his handsome and manly visuals. He looks strong and brave but what captures our attention is his smile that gives out a sweet gentleness.
It is expected that the women in Goguryeo are captivated by him.
Another still features Go Geon walking with his fellow soldiers looking so brave and strong. His charisma catches the attention of the viewers.
Go Geon was born to form a rich and high-ranked family. He is the best in martial art, which makes him the best general of Goguryeo. It's as if this was meant to be his destiny.
Unfortunately, his almost perfect world will crash when he meets Pyeonggang. He will suffer from unrequited love and despite being a general and a wealthy man, he is unable to capture the heart of his only love Pyeonggang. He will go through changes that will also affect the princess.
The drama's production team shared their thoughts on Lee Ji Hoon and his character. They shared that Lee Ji Hoon was perfect for the role of Go Geon, the perfect man who has everything life has to offer. Plus, the actor has an extraordinary passion for his character which makes Go Geon even more attractive.
The production also asked everyone to look forward to the acting skills of Lee Ji Hoon as he portrays the character of Go Geun, the most handsome and desired man of Goguryeo.
"River Where the Moon Rises" is scheduled for broadcast on Feb.y 15 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Be sure not to miss it!
