The award-giving body is co-hosted by the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) and the Gold House, and it's a non-profit organization that supports cultural diversity in the field of movies.
"Minari" is directed by Lee Isaac Chung. It is a heart-warming story of a woman named Minari, who goes after a Korean-American family that moves to a small Arkansas farm to search for their own American dream. The family was having a good time together, not until their rude yet loving grandmother arrived in their home.
Things started to change, but in the middle of contrasting issues happening within the family members, Minari shows her undeniable resilience of family and what it really matters to build a true home.
The ceremony is indeed a milestone for actress Han Ye Ri as it her first ever Best Actress Award throughout her career of being in the acting industry. Not just that, the movie "Minari" also managed to be nominated in all categories and proudly took home a total of seven trophies!
