"Penthouse 2" continues to prove to be the leading drama series with its killer plotline. It came after the SBS hit series unveiled the true culprit behind the "Barrowna crash."
The story follows when Oh Yoon Hee, portrayed by Yujin, was stunned upon learning that Ha Eun Byul, played by Choi Ye-bin, was the reason behind the incident, alongside Cheon Seojin (Kim So Yeon) and Ha Yoon Cheol (Yun Jong Hoon.)
Aside from this, the tension arises after it was revealed that the person who looked like Shim Soo Ryun, portrayed by Lee Ji Ah, that visited the penthouse was the birth mother Na Ae Gyo, portrayed by Lee Ji-a, who happens to be the mother of Ju Kyeong (Han Ji Hyun) and Joong Hoon (Kim Young Dae.)
"Penthouse 2" is the Highest Rating Drama Nationwide
Following "Penthouse 2" Episode 7's shocking scene, the SBS drama received another achievement. The recently-premiered series, directed by Dong Min Joo and produced by Green Bam Media, reached an overall highest rating at the moment, garnering 25.2 percent.
The figures the drama earned 24.3 percent in the metropolitan area with an audience rating of 23.5 percent.
With this, "Penthouse 2" continues to defend the throne as the top drama series on all channels based on the survey released by Nielsen Korea, as obtained by Newsen.
Moreover, the publication cited that according to the media research company, "Penthouse 2" achieved an 11 percent or 2049 viewership rating, which is considered a significant indicator to the advertising officials.

"Penthouse 2" Episode 5 Receives 20.9 Percent Nationwide Ratings
Aside from this, the ongoing drama series gained the same achievement after reports stated that the "Penthouse 2" Episode 5 reached 20.9 percent for its nationwide ratings and 24.4 percent for its two parts.
This makes it an all-time high viewership rating for the show.
Reaching greater heights every show, the SBS's fifth episode said to gain a high viewership record of 11.6 percent among viewers' key demographic between ages 20 to 49.
Fans Get Obsessed with "Penthouse 2"
The hit SBS show continues to be a trending topic online as fans expressed their obsession with the drama series.
"Me stressing because of penthouse season 2 then realizing that it will also have season 3," one fan Tweeted, referring to episode six.
The second user seemed to be heartbroken with episode seven, writing, "We said 'We want more Seok hoon x Ro Na moments' but 'Penthouse 2' and SBS gave us this," alongside screenshots from the series.
Meanwhile, an individual expressed the same stance and wrote, "the penthouse season 2 was originally planned to have 20 episodes, but it'll be divided into two seasons; season 2 and season 3 will each have 12 episodes" so we're already halfway through."
Lee Ji Ah on "Penthouse 2"
Amid the public's craze with "Penthouse 2," it was previously reported that a cast would make a major comeback. Lee Ji Ah has also made her return in the mid-season for her role Shim Su Ryeon.
