YG Entertainment officially welcomes Claudia Kim as one of their newest talents to join the agency. In a report, the entertainment company revealed that the model turned actress has sealed the deal and is now officially under YG.

Moreover, a source mentioned that the company is excited to work with the 36-year-old actress, whom they considered as a "frontrunner that made Korea known to the world and raised the value of K-culture."

With this, the renowned agency vowed to "support" Claudia Kim, also known as Kim Soo-Hyun, in its future endeavors in the entertainment scene.

Moreover, the company described the actress as someone who has "tightly established her position" both internationally and in Korea.

Fans Rejoice as YG Entertainment Welcomes Claudia Kim

It appears that the entertainment company is not the only one who expressed their excitement over Kim Soo Hyun's new agency.

Over Twitter, fans can help but gush over Claudia Kim joining YG Entertainment as one user lauded the agency's move to sign the 36-year-old actress.

"And when you think YG Actors won't get any better, they got Claudia Kim. The roster of talents in YG!"

Meanwhile, the third fan echoed the same stance and posted, "Wow. Claudia Kim signed under YG Entertainment. FYI, she plays Dr. Helen Cho in Avengers and Nagini in Fantastic Beasts."

Claudia Kim's Debut in Entertainment Industry

YG Entertainment currently houses South Korea's brightest actors in the industry. This includes SBS Drama winner Lee Sung Kyung, "The Spies Who Loved Me" star Yoo In Na and Baeksang Arts winner Jang Ki Yong.

As for Claudia Kim, she made her movie debut in 2016 after scoring a supporting role in the 2006 drama "Queen of the Game."

After four years of hiatus, she made a comeback with a new stage name, "Uriel," as she starred in the 2010 action series "The Fugitive: Plan B" and was followed by her role as Hwang Joo-Won in the romantic comedy series "Romance Town."

In that same year, she also starred in the medical drama series "Brain" alongside Choi Jung-won and Shin Ha Kyun.

Claudia Kim's International Debut

Interestingly, the former model earned a strong foothold in Hollywood in 2014 as she landed the role of Dr. Helen Cho - a world-renowned Seoul-based geneticist in the blockbuster movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Aside from the movie, she also appeared as Princess Khutulun in Netflix's historical drama series "Marco Polo," followed by another hit fantasy film, "Fantastic Beasts," portraying the role of Nagini, alongside Ezra Miller and Jude Law.

In her previous interview with Wonderland magazine, she shares how she started working with "Fantastic Beasts."

At the time, she recalled how she wanted the role so badly and did everything she could to make it work.

Amid her success in Hollywood, Claudia Kim shares that she still wanted to work both in the U.S and in Asia.
