"Recalled" earned overwhelming response from the public despite the controversy surrounding its lead actress Seo Ye Ji.
According to a recent report, Korean Box Office Information System (KOBIS) cited that the upcoming mystery thriller film garnered an overall reservation rate of 46 percent a day before its premiere.
This makes "Recalled" rise to the top and leads the early reservations.
Moreover, it has been noted that this will be the first time that a film, may it be foreign or local, has never reached a double-digit reservation.
"Recalled" Cast and Synopsis
Helmed by "Secret" director Seo Yoo Min, the mystery thriller movie is scheduled to debut on April 21, starring the "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" actress, opposite Kim Kang Woo.
Aside from the duo, other cast members also include Park Sang Wook, Bae Je Ki, Sung Hyuk, Kim Joo Ryung, Yeom Hye Ran, and Bae Yoo Ram.
"Recalled," also known as "Tomorrow's Memory," depicts the story of a married couple who holds a dark secret.
Seo Ye Ji plays the role of Soo Jin, a doting wife who lost her memory after a tragic accident. On the other hand, Kim Kang Woo portrays the role of Soo Jin's husband, who is responsible for taking care of his wife during her recovery.
Interestingly, things get messy for Soo Jin as she wakes up being able to see the future and even when she encountered her accident.
She then decided to meet her former co-worker and was totally devastated after learning about her husband's dark past.

Seo Ye Ji No Show During "Recalled" Press Conference
At the height of Seo Ye Jin's controversy, the 31-year-old actress announced that she would not attend her comeback movie's press conference with fear that she might be hounded by questions relating to her then-boyfriend, Kim Jung Hyun.
In a previous report, a South Korean outlet shared that the "Lawless Lawyer" tried to ask the production team to block the question involving the issue.
However, the team advised the actress that it would be impossible to avoid the question, given that she never addressed the issue. This is when she has decided to cancel her appearance due to "personal reasons."
Kim Kang Woo Gave his Thoughts About the Upcoming Movie "Recalled"
Despite this, her co-actor Kim Kang Woo and "Recalled" director Seo Yoo Min appeared at the said event.
At the time, the 42-year-old actor gave his insights into the movie.
He shared that even though "Recalled" is considered a mystery thriller film, he "tried to add some romance into the scene."
"I hope viewers can treat the romance as a sort of appendix to the thriller. It'd be great if you kept an eye out for the melodrama," he explained.
Moreover, he also urged fans to watch it in theaters since "movies are best when watched in cinemas" in hopes to help bring back the light and joy in the Korean film industry."
