Among this year's "Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia," two notable K-drama stars unsurprisingly made it.

They are none other than Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk!

According to Forbes, their latest 30 Under 30 Asia list is meant to highlight "the next generation of talent - on the court and the screen." In that case, Suzy Bae and Nam Joo Hyuk certainly deserve their spots.

The list features Asian stars who have managed to secure a global fan base with their charismatic talents and it is endearing to see that Suzy Bae and Nam Joo Hyuk have now became household names in South Korean entertainment industry.

The list is known to put the spotlight on artists who have made it to global popularity without the backing of a banner or company, so this is certainly no small feat.

Suzy Bae, known or tagged the "Nation's First Love," is just 26, but she has already proven herself to many in the industry. She started her career as an idol, specifically a member of the now-defunct JYP Entertainment group Miss A, but ventured in acting later on.

With one hit show after another like "Gu Family Book" (2013), "Uncontrollably Fond" (2016), "While You Were Sleeping" (2017), "Vagabond" (2019) and the most recent one "Start-Up" (2020), there is no reason to question why she would become loved all over the world.

Suzy's debut with "Architecture 101" in 2012 also made an impact in the realm.

Nam Joo Hyuk also made it on the list. The South Korean actor catapulted larger fame with his recent television show "Start-Up," aided by the fact that the show is not only good, but it entertained many who were stuck in their home streaming Netlix shows because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, this cannot discount the fact that he is a skilled actor and can make fans swoon with his talent.

Previously, he has worked in shows like "The School Nurse Files." He was praised with his perfect and immaculate performance in the Korean historical film "The Great Battle," that it got him the Best New Actor award at Korea's much-appreciated Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.

The "Start-Up" Magic

Suzy Bae and Nam Joo Hyuk's performance and powerful chemistry in "Start-Up" influenced viewers to want more of them together in one frame, or in real life.

"Start-Up" may be the first show that they got to work together, but their chemistry was already obvious to some producers so much earlier.

In 2018, both actors were offered the lead roles for the mystery romance thriller "Come and Hug Me." However, both turned down the project and their roles went to Jang Ki Yong and Jin Ki Joo, respectively.
