NU'EST Minhyun will possibly make a drama comeback with the Hong Sisters' upcoming project, "Return."

Hwang Minhyun Might Return with a New Fantasy Drama Following "Live On"

According to a media report on April 21, idol-turned-actor Hwang Minhyun was casted in tvN's forthcoming series, "Return," by the famous Hong Sisters, who penned the blockbuster dramas "Hotel Del Luna," "Master's Sun," "A Korean Odyssey" and more.

Previously, "Extraordinary You" actor Lee Jae Wook and actress Park Hye Eun were confirmed to lead the drama. It has been said that the two Korean stars already read the script for "Return" and are just waiting for the filming to start.

The new fantasy-romance-drama will revolve around the story of young magicians who are destined to deal with heavenly spirits on earth.

tvN's "Return" is expected to meet the audience in the second half of 2021. Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun's agency, Pledis Entertainment haven't released their statement yet regarding the news about their artist.

If Hwang Minhyun accepts the drama role for "Return," this will mark his second drama since his debut as an actor. He first caught the viewers in his 2020 school drama "Live On," where he played the character of a brilliant, handsome, and cold president of the broadcasting club. This was also his first lead drama role where he received good feedback from the audience.

One of the emerging K-Pop boy groups, NU'EST, have been expanding their skills and talents not just in the music industry but also in the acting scene.

NU'EST main vocalist Baekho is expected to have his debut as a stage actor in the upcoming musical "Midnight Sun." Where he will be playing the lead role of Haram.

Following Baekho's stage debut, NU'EST's leader and main rapper Kim Jong Hyun also known as JR is about to start his acting journey with new idol-romance-drama "I'll Be Your Night." JR will be playing the character of Lee Shin. His forthcoming series is expected to start airing in the second half of this year (2021).
