The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCCPH) is set on reminding everyone the value of family, even in the middle of the pandemic, with a month-long celebration of the Korean Family Month.

May has become known as the Family Month or Appreciation Month in Korea since it contains three important days - Children's Day on the 5th, Parents' Day on the 8th, and Teachers' Day on the 15th.

In line with this, the KCCPH has planned a series of events that emphasizes love for family - a cultural aspect shared by both Korean and Filipinos.

Activities for the Entire Family

Kicking off its Kolorful Adventures for the month of May is the "2021 Korean Film Festival: Full House, Fun for All."

Presenting a lineup of seven movies from different genres - action, comedy, family drama - KCC will be making these films available in the Philippines for free through the KCC Official Website from May 7 to 27.

Additionally, viewers also have the chance to win prizes by joining the 2021 KFF Online Film Reaction Essay Contest and the KFF Survey.

For the K-Drama fans in the Philippines, KCCPH is planning to release an all-new event with the shorterviewseries titled "Along With K-Culture: Meet the K-Stans." Combining the words "short" and "interview," shorterviews are an increasingly popular interviewing format seen in Korea's vlogs and online shows.

The six-part series, which began last May 10, offers a different approach towards celebrating the tenth year of the Korean Cultural Center in the country.

The episodes talk about elements of Korean culture and its effect on the Filipinos, with expert insights from various institutions and industries.

Dancers and movers, regardless of age, will find the perfect opportunity to bop along to popular K-pop dance hits. Prepare those dancing shoes as PH's K-Pop dance diva Dasuri Choi will get the classes back in session.

The "K-Dance Clinic" is set this coming May 19, with a live stream of Dasuri's dance tutorials together with the lucky participants chosen from "K-Dance! Power Up!" last month.

Lastly, KCCPH is looking to go back to the basics with its Traditional Thursday. This May, KCCPH's SNS followers get to learn more about customs and traditions such as Korean concepts of courtesy, warm affection, community, and fun.

The online content will equip its audiences with a better understanding of the culture and hopefully find values applicable in their own lives.

Interested fans can follow KCCPH on its official social networking sites, such as its Official Facebook Page.
