Seo Ye Ji may have won the "Tiktok Popularity Star" at the "57th Baeksang Arts Awards," even with the issues that broke out recently, but she will not be attending the show.
Seo Ye Ji Snubs the "57th Baeksang Arts Awards"
It was only May 11 when it was reported that the actress is in serious discussion about being present during the awards ceremony. Her label stated, "Due to personal reasons, she will not be attending the "Baeksang Arts Awards."
Even though she is generally contending with a poor reputation right now, this did not stop her from winning the "Tiktok Popularity Award." This is a testament to how much the fans remain supportive of the luminary.
After the voting was finalized, it was calculated that Seo Ye Ji won the award in the female category with over 780,000 votes. She was even nominated for the "Best Actress" category for her role on the well-loved tvN's "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
Seo Ye Ji Hounded by Controversies
But these awards and recognition came too late. The actress has already suffered a lot because of the scandals she is involved in.
She had to withdraw from a project called "Island" and could not participate in the press conference of her upcoming movie, "Recalled."
Allegedly, she was very controlling of her ex-boyfriend and told him not to kiss his co-star even though it is important for the project. Her ex-boyfriend is Kim Jung Hyun, who most would associate as Gu Seung Joon in "Crash Landing on You."

What fueled the rumors is that her ex-boyfriend himself never denied these allegations. There were also reports of her being a bully to staff. Unnamed staff members claimed she treated them ill and made sure their phones did not contain photos of her alleged bullying.
Endorsement deals were lost, apart from drama projects. Health and lifestyle brand New Origin, mask brand AER, and cosmetics brand Luna, decided to cut ties with the actress.
The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards is about celebrating the achievements of broadcast, streaming, and cable TV content, and also domestic films and theatrical productions. One criterion for the releases is that they should have been released between May 1, 2020, and April 11, 2021.
Fans of Seo Ye Ji, notwithstanding the issues hounding the star, are saddened by what is happening. Many of them remain supportive of the actress, and still believe her supposed role in "Island" suits her.
