Kim Hye Jun, who masterfully played the annoying and scary Queen at the same time in the famed Korean zombie series, "Kingdom," is reportedly in talks to join a new suspense thriller. The project entitled "A Wonderful Sight" was announced back in January, wherein talks of the lead protagonist role being offered to Lee Young Ae emerged.
A follow-up report later confirmed Lee Young Ae agreed.
Kim Hye Jun: From Evil Queen to an Assassin?
According to a tweet, Kim Hye Jun is in talks to join the upcoming thriller series, "A Wonderful Sight." The actress, who has been on a hiatus since "Kingdom 2" ended (with her character the annoying queen turning into a zombie and ultimately dying), is deemed fit to be one of the lead roles in this series.
While the news is scarce as to what role she will exactly play, it can be deduced that she'll play the main villain who is sassy, wise, and classy.
Below is a tweet of the two main roles that the series will have. The detective role was already given to Lee Young Ae, which leaves the role of the complicated serial character to Kim Hye Jun.
In case she is indeed to play the character of a serial killer, her performance in both "Kingdom 1" and "Kingdom 2" as the queen who faked her own pregnancy and had countless women killed just to get a baby boy to pass off her as her own, is enough proof to say she can do this.
Everything to Know About 'A Wonderful Sight'
As said, if Kim Hye Jun should accept the role that she is in talks to take on, she will act opposite Lee Young Ae.
Even if Lee Young Ae often takes big gaps in between projects, nobody can really forget her since she became a household name for her lead role in "A Jewel in the Palace." Some would argue that this drama was the series that made Kdrama popular in many parts of the world.
"A Wonderful Sight" is said to be the Asian version of the highly-watched BBC series, "Killing Eve," a British black comedy-drama spy thriller television series that starred Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.

It's not exactly a copy of the "Killing Eve," though. It will certainly have its unique twists and turns.
It was earlier reported that the series would center around former police officer Koo Kyung Yi (Lee Young Ae's role), who turned her back to the world after the demise of her husband.
Since then, she became an insurance investigator who dives into a case involving murder. There were perfectly good reasons to assume that the murder was made to look like an accident so that the insurance money can be released.
From this, Koo Kyung Yi will be entering into a cat-and-mouse game with a female serial killer, who is wise and cannot be underestimated.
