Choi Young Shin was the Real Mastermind on Why Jung Ba Reum Became a Psychopath

Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) knew that Choi Young Shin (Jung Ae R) was the mastermind behind all the sufferings he and Sung Yo Han (Kwon Hwa Woon) felt throughout their lives.

Because of her greed to pass the bill during her run in the election, Choi Young Shin collected all the names of the newborn babies years ago and used Daniel Lee (Jo Jae Yun) and Han Seo Joon (Ahn Jae Wook) to fulfill her goal of having psychopaths to prove the effectivity of the bill that she wanted to be legalized.

When Choi Young Shin was about to be killed by Jung Ba Reum, she didn't feel scared. She wanted him to kill her so that the world can know more about how psychopaths can be developed as early as they were just in their mother's womb.

Instead, Jung Ba Reum tied her up and let the police investigate the crimes she did.

Jung Ba Reum Surrendered Himself to the Police

Oh Bong Yi (Park Ju Hyun) confronted Jung Ba Reum and tried to kill him with her own hands, but she failed. The psychopath knelt in front of her and said that he will pay for all his sins by surrendering to the police, in which he did.

Everyone was shocked about the sudden revelation of Jung Ba Reum. Even his co-workers in the police station couldn't believe what they were seeing.

For one last time, Sung Ji Eun (Kim Jung Nan) went to visit her son inside the police headquarters. She also told Go Mu Chi (Lee Hee Joon) the truth behind Jung Ba Reum's brain surgery.

Detective Bok Ho Nam (Hyun Bong Sik) and Kang Ki Hyeok (Yoon Seo Hyun) wanted to issue an arrest warrant for Choi Young Shin but the officials rejected it because she has the power in the government.

Jung Ba Reum was feeling anxious after not seeing his aunt during the press conference that they planned to do.

For one last time, he asked for Go Mu Chi's help to find her. The detective found her and brought to Choi Hong Ju's (Kyung Soo Jin) documentary show and began to drop all the evidence against Choi Young Shin as the leader of the OZ organization.

Choi Hong Ju was able to reveal everything and successfully cleared Sung Yo Han's name in front of the public. The lady producer also surrendered herself to the police after she opens up that she was involved with Daniel Lee in taking revenge on Jung Ba Reum.

When the police arrived, she didn't expect that her own father Park Du Seok (Ahn Nae Sang) would be the one to arrest her. The two had a sad reunion after longing for each other for years.

Jung Ba Reum Killed His Own Father Han Seo Joon

After he was executed, Jung Ba Reum was put in prison where his father was. He began to put on another show in order to have an opportunity to see his father.

When his policeman friend Koo Dong Koo (Woo Ji Hyun) came to see him, he asked for his help to bring him to Han Seo Joon's cell.

Jung Ba Reum said to his friend that he needs to end everything that made him suffer for years. The psychopath stabbed his own father until he died and slowly became weak due to the effect of the brain surgery.

Jung Ba Reum Died in Pain and Agony

With all the things that he did before, Jung Ba Reum felt repentance and faced death as his punishment for taking innocent lives.

The drama ended inside the church where Jung Ba Reum reunited with his younger self and assured that the Almighty heard his prayer.

He was not a monster anymore because started to live with genuine emotions and repent for all the wrongdoings he did throughout his life.
