Song Joong Ki does not only know how to act, he knows how to dress up in fashion-forward ways many men cannot do and yet now appear tacky. He has impressed the fashion police so much in various public appearances that he was labeled the "King of Fashion."
Here are there examples of him wearing not the usual suit-and-tie outfits during public appearances and yet looking all cool and suave.
Song Joong Ki in White Suit, Black Tie
Who wears a white top, black tie, and black pants and not worry about being mistaken as a serving person in a fancy restaurant?
Song Joong Ki!
At the 57th Baeksang Awards, he ditched the usual black or navy suit for a white one. He was also wearing a white shirt underneath over black pants. He added a cute little bow tie and was good to go.
An ordinary male wouldn't have pulled that off, but here he goes looking his best at the online event.
The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards red carpet event was held on the afternoon of May 13, 2021. It was done online due to the pandemic.

Another online event that the "Descendants of the Sun" star had to grace online instead because of the pandemic was the MAMA 2020.
At the time, the pandemic was in the rage so the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) had to happen in a non-face-to-face manner. Song Joong Ki was called to host the event at the Paju Content World in Gyeonggi-do and he looked dashing on every household screen with his velvety black suit.

Not only is he truly one of those few guys who can pull off velvet but he also looks good on silk, which was the material of his pants that night. Note that the uniqueness did not end there.
The pants he donned were in bluish-green and while that would probably look horrendous in other guys, the whole getup was quite well-put-together because it was him who was wearing it.
Song Joong Ki in Pinstripe Suit in Grey... and Orange?
While pinstripe suits can sometimes be considered in fashion, the obvious choice for men who wear one is the one in black or grey with white stripes, or navy blue with white stripes.
But the "Vincenzo" star does not care about the norm.
He posed at the production presentation of tvN's new Saturday drama "Vincenzo" held at CJENM in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul in a grey suit with orange stripes. For his top underneath, he chose to wear a turtleneck in a different shade of grey. Guess what, it worked - but only on him.
The way he carried the outfit, looking relaxed for the camera, certainly led to the idea that he is indeed the "King of Fashion." Not only does he look good in whatever he wears, but he also has a unique personality and style.
While there are many great actors in the industry, few can be fashion-forward and go home grinning about it. Most would have been critiqued to no end. The actor recently graced the cover of the June issue of GQ Korea and there, he ended up wearing varied looks effortlessly.
One of the tops even looked quite feminine but of course it looked really great on the actor.
