Gong Hyo Jin may have captivated the hearts of fans because of her portrayal in many non-stereotypical roles in her romantic comedies through the years, but love seems to have been elusive for her.

At 41, she looks not a day older than her 20s and her recent Harper Bazaar shoot proves it. In short chitchat for this magazine, however, she let it known that she lives a rather solitary (but not lonely!) life.

Gong Hyo Jin Relationship Status Revealed

Even though she did not say it directly, the actress hinted that the pandemic has placed too much time on her hands, something she wouldn't be saying if she's seeing someone. But she also implied that she's completely at ease with herself right now and her relationship status.

Speaking with the magazine after a photoshoot that portrayed her radiant skin, her fit body, and her stunning tattoo, among all things, she revealed that someone once sent her an enormous puzzle piece to work on.

At the time, she even doubted anyone would bother completing such a massive piece, but when she finally had the time to do it, she realized it was actually a lot of fun. She got immersed in it and she quickly lost track of time.

She explained that she's a person who loves learning, which is why apart from the puzzle, she also learned how to weave through an app during the pandemic.

The actress enthusiastically shared how weaving materials are sent to her house and she got to work with a teacher through a video. After she has enjoyed learning how to weave, she realized that this is a good way to pass time alone. "If you get lonely, this is also a good solution," she added.

Gong Hyo Jin Is Fine About Being Alone

In this latest interview, she nowhere said she's lonely about her life right now. Even though she's not seeing anyone or not in a relationship. Instead, all the love she can give, she is already devoted to her friends.

She said, "I express my affection a lot. I have a lot of time, and I like being with people. I drive well, so I often go to pick them up, and I frequently give out presents too."

The actress has been quite consistent too in saying that her work comes first over anything romance-related. In an earlier interview, she shared how in her 20s, she believed that love is everything. Her aunts and other older friends even had to caution against her letting love consume her. In hindsight, she said she now knows better, because one should only love another person if he or she loves herself well enough.

One has to be full and complete first before loving others.

The "Pasta" star's last publicized relationship was with Ryoo Seung-bum. The two actually had an on-off relationship that lasted relatively ten years. They started seeing each other in 2002, broke up in 2003, reconciled in 2008, and officially ended things in 2012.
