Song Ji Hyo gets honest about her relationship status and her thoughts on settling down.

In the recent "Running Man" episode, the 39-year-old actress was set up on a blind date, alongside Jeon So Min and fellow co-stars Sung Si Kyung and Lee Yong Jin.

Why Does Song Ji Hyo Dislike Going on Blind Dates?

During the group's mock date, the ladies mentioned that they prefer the traditional dates and would like to meet "people at their own pace."

Interestingly, the "Was It Love?" star revealed the reason why she doesn't like going on a blind date.

She said that it's the "awkward" phase that usually happens during the date that makes the situation a little bit off for her, adding, "as soon as I sit down, I start wanting to go home."

As the "Lovely Horribly" actress is about to turn 40 this coming August 15, the Song Ji Hyo spoke about her thoughts on marriage and finding Mr. Right.

As their topic gets deeper, the Blue Dragon film nominee was asked by fellow "Running Man" cast member Lee Yong Jin regarding dating and eventually settling down.

She explained that it's usual for people her age to contemplate and consider getting married.

"We have had our shares of relationships. We also have friends who are settling down. So..." she mentioned, while the 35-year-old singer turned actor asked if she's "not looking" to date anyone and just in case she found the right one, would the actress say yes on tying the knot.

Song Ji Hyo then raised her point, saying that she doesn't want her future, especially marriage, "to become the only purpose of my relationship."

It appears that the "29gram" actress is still enjoying her singlehood and wants to meet her soon-to-be boyfriend when the right time comes.

Song Ji Hyo Describes his Perfect Guy

The trio grilled the 39-year-old actress on her standard for his perfect man.

Like most normal women, Song Ji Hyo admitted that she does have certain expectations for her future relationship.

Although it's not a long list of complex traits, the actress mentioned that she wants someone who has the ability to apologize for his mistakes.

"I hope that my future partner knows and understands how to feel sorry [when needed]," she pointed out.

This was agreed by Jeon So Min, saying that knowing when to say sorry is a pivotal factor in a strong relationship.

In a previous interview, the actress mentioned that she doesn't mind staying single; however, she has been linked to her fellow "Running Man" cast members Gary Kang and Kim Jong Kook.

Song Ji Hyo's Past Relationship

Despite the rumors, the actress never addressed the issue; however, her only confirmed relationship was with the C-JeS Entertainment CEO Baek Chang Ju, who was also her previous talent agency.

Unfortunately, amid the confirmation regarding their break up in 2015, the actress also chose to end her exclusive contract with the management after four years, and is now with Creative Group ING.
