Kang Min Ah Talks Life-Changing Shooting of "At A Distance Spring is Green"

One of the topics she delved on was how her upcoming drama "At a Distance Spring is Green" is literally changing how she lives.

Kang Min Ah is starring in the drama "At a Distance Spring is Green" with Park Ji Hoon and Bae In Hyuk, playing the role of a college student by the name Kim So Bin. Her role is anything but the bright and happy most college students are. Instead, she's struggling with her reality.

In fact, the whole show is about college students having a hard time with their lives. The show is an adaptation of a popular webtoon.

While her character is anything but some who is enjoying her life, the actress shared that ironically, doing this drama allows her to enjoy hers.

Because of the places they shoot in, she has experienced doing a lot of things for the first time. First, she got to see some cherry blossoms. In the past, she was not able to do so, not because she is not near where cherry blossoms are, but because she's reluctant to go to crowded places.

She shared, "Through this shoot, I think I experienced three years of cherry blossom festivals at once. We only filmed in beautiful places, so this drama will make viewers feel happy."

King Min Ah is the Oldest Among the Cast

Among the things she got to experience on set that she did not experience in the past is being the oldest.

According to her, she was relatively the youngest in almost all her past shows. But for this show, she's the oldest, and she admitted that first, she felt awkward about this.

She even recounted how her co-star Moon Ga Young told her that being the oldest means always buying people meals.

The actress has recently gained a lot of attention because of her dramas, such as "True Beauty" and "Beyond Evil." One direct consequence of becoming a popular actress is that her social media followers increased immensely as well.

She revealed that, at first, she was caught off-guard by what was happening to her online. While she acknowledges that this means her work is now being recognized, she also said she has become more careful. For one, she thinks twice before uploading any photo on her social media accounts.

She clarified that she's not obsessed with the numbers, but she still recognizes the fact that something certainly changed with regard to her fame. "True Beauty" really gained traction overseas, while her performance in "Beyond Evil," while short (her character died), was very memorable. It remains to be seen if "At a Distance Spring is Green" can earn her more praises and attention.

"At a Distance Spring is Green" premieres in a few weeks, specifically on June 14 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Fans can access it on Viki.
