Lee Ji Ah, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, and More Confirmed to Appear in a Star-Studded Entertainment Program 'Sea of Hope'

JTBC revealed an upcoming variety program, "Sea of Hope," featuring a powerhouse cast.

A slew of South Korea's brightest stars has been confirmed to appear in the new show, working alongside the "Begin Again" production crew.

Moreover, the broadcasting network revealed that the new program will be helmed by producing director (PD) Song Gwang Jong.

Scheduled to debut this coming June 29, "Sea of Hope" is said to be a "healing entertainment program" that depicts the keywords sea, bar, and wish.

Each guest who will visit the location will have a break from their ordinary lives and spend a memorable day surrounded by nature, music, ocean, delectable and food.

Among the "Sea of Hope" cast includes the "Penthouse" star Lee Ji Ah who will take on the role as a head chef.

The 42-year-old actress will show off her impeccable cooking skills and set to create new dishes for the menu.

This is not new with the award-winning actress as she previously appeared in several variety shows such as "Delicious Rendezvous" and "Tasty Man's Square," flaunting her exceptional kitchen talent.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong Wook will act as the head bartender and will also get involved with water activities such as diving and more.

To recall, the "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" actor has a deep interest in marine ecosystem and is a licensed scuba diver.

He will be joined by his "Goblin" co-star Kim Go Eun who is set to be the show's ocean guard.

On the other hand, singer-songwriter, and CEO of Mystic Story, Yoon Jong Shin, is assigned to music while SHINee's Onew will be the management team's baker.

Making it to the star-studded cast is AKMU's Lee Su Hyun, who entertains the guests with her fantastic voice as bar mood maker.

Interestingly, singer-songwriter MeloMance's Jung Dong Hwan with fellow musician Zairo will reportedly perform in the forthcoming Korean variety show Sea of Hope."

SHINee's Onew and Kim Go Eun's Interesting Hobbies

There's no doubt why the 31-year-old idol and "The King: Eternal Monarch" actress got their respective roles as a baker and ocean guard.

In October 2020, the singer-actor was spotted handing out boonguhppang or fish-shaped pastries, which he personally baked and was shown in his vlog "Jinki Jangpan."

At the time, he revealed that this is his way of showing appreciation and gratitude to the hardworking SM employees.

"I got a lot of help from the company. There's staff from the company and staff from SHINee," he explained.

As for the 29-year-old actress, she was seen having a good time and enjoying her scuba diving activity in Panglao, Bohol, the Philippines, in 2017.

The "Goblin's" bride was joined by her close friends and was assisted by the Scuba Diving Center - Sinchun Divers.
