The up-and-coming South Korean actor Tang Joon Sang talks about his plans in the entertainment industry and spills the celebrities he truly admires the most.
The 17-year-old actor gained global recognition following his impressive performance in Netflix's "Move to Heaven" alongside Lee Je Hoon and "Navillera" actress Hong Seung Hee.
He portrayed the role of the 20-year-old Han Geu Ru, who was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.
After his father passed away, he inherited his family business, "Move to Heaven," a company that arranges the belongings left by a deceased.
Tang Joon Sang "Grateful" for Fans Especially Senior Co-Star Lee Je Hoon
In a recent interview with Tang Joon Sang, he says that he was overwhelmed with the public's response and thanked fans for their support.
Moreover, he added that he feels "grateful" for joining the cast of "Move to Heaven," adding that he was able to receive "a lot of compliments and good words," especially on social media.
The budding actor, who is of Malaysian-Chinese and Korean descent, admitted that playing the role of Han Geu Ru "felt a lot of pressure."
Fortunately, there's Lee Je Hoon, who helped and guided him throughout the filming.
Tang Joon Sang Gets Honest About the Actors he Idolize
Aside from the "Taxi Driver" star, the 17-year old actor named two stars he idolized and thought very highly of.
During the interview, "The King's Letters" actor shared that he wanted to be remembered for his works and talent, just like the "Sisyphus: The Myth" star Cho Seung Woo and "Hospital Playlist's" Jo Jung Suk.
"I want to be an actor who is remembered by the name of a character, not by my name, by doing many works and leaving many life works," he mentioned, adding, "Because I debuted in musical, I want to be an actor who plays musical like Cho Seung Woo and Jo Jung Suk, and plays good acting across various genres, including movies and dramas."
Apart from the popular drama, you might recognize Tang Joon Sang from his previous projects, including the mega-hit series "Crash Landing on You," where he plays 5th Company private first-class Geum Eun Dong.
Moreover, he also starred in the 2014 mystery youth drama "Pluto Squad," which is considered his first big break.
