Kim So Yeon received an overwhelming response from the public with her impressive role as the top-billed prima donna in the smash hit K-drama "Penthouse 3."
She plays Cheon Seo Jin, who is a doting mother but is driven by anger and revenge.
Her portrayal in the SBS drama earned her Best Actress trophy at the recently concluded Baeksang Arts Awards 2021.
With this, Lee Sang Woo was asked about his thoughts on Kim So Yeon playing the role of the villain and being Uhm Ki Joon's on-screen wife in "Penthouse 3."
During the interview, the 41-year-old actor revealed that he avoided his wife's kissing scene in the suspense thriller drama.
"At the beginning, I'd go into our room for a bit [during her kiss scenes]," he mentioned, adding, "But now, I just turn my head [away from screen] a bit to avoid watching. So Yeon will tell me in advance, 'Turn away for just a moment,' while we watch together."
In the top-rating drama, Kim So Yeon's husband made a cameo where he played the reporter in season 2's episodes 2 and 4.
Following this, the "Marry Me Now" alum shared his experience being on the same set as his wife. "Tiki taCAR" host joked how the actor looked awkward in the behind-the-scenes alongside the 40-year-old actress' on-screen husbands.
During the interview, he explained that he did not know anyone from the "Penthouse 2" cast.
"When you are a regular on a show, you end up getting to know the cast members and crew, but I did not know ["The Penthouse" cast and crew at all," he mentioned.
As for Lee Sang Woo's wife being the drama villain, he mentioned that he had seen all of Kim So Yeon's terrifying experiences at home.
When asked what would be his least favorite, the actor played safe and mentioned that he "loves them all"; however, he explained that as a married couple, they "serve as mirrors for one another."
"I think we see each other's good and bad points, and we become better people by learning from the good in each other and avoiding the bad."
Lee Sang Woo and Kim So Yeon tied the knot in June 2017 after meeting on the set of MBC's weekend drama "Happy Home."
Aside from her endorsement and "Penthouse" behind-the-scenes, she also updates her social media showing her fun moments with her husband.
