B1A4's Jinyoung updates fans on social media with a sneak peek at his upcoming K-Drama "Police University."
The singer-actor shared a series of snaps while showing his 1.7 million followers a glimpse of his soon-to-be-released rom-com drama.
Over B1A4 Jinyoung's Instagram, the 29-year-old celebrity looks sleek and dapper donning a police uniform. In the photo, the K-pop idol sports a serious face as he joins his fellow freshmen.
Moreover, the next snap featured the "My First First Love 2" star, whose real name is Jung Jin Young, taking an oath as a police cadet.
Prior to this, he also shared behind-the-scenes stills wearing the uniform as he deeply gazed from afar while doing the salute.
"Loyalty! Please look forward to the police university," B1A4 Jinyoung's Instagram caption reads.
In a previous report, a representative from the production team praised the multi-talented star and pointed out that he has the ability to transform into his role while "adding his own color, from purity to strength, which is exactly like Kang Seon Ho, a character that represents youth of this era."
B1A4's Jinyoung, f(x)'s Krystal and More Stars in Rom-Com "Police University"
The 29-year-old South Korean celebrity is one of the lead stars for the upcoming K-drama "Police University."
He is joined by a roster of talented actors, including f(x)'s Krystal, Cha Tae Hyun, B.A.P.'s Youngjae, and more.
In the drama, B1A4's Jinyoung plays a former hacker Kang Sun Ho. Interestingly, upon meeting some police cadets, he decides that he wants to turn his life around and undergo significant changes like entering the police academy.
At the university, he then meets the campus crush and fellow first-year student Oh Kang Hee, played by Krystal.
Despite her charming appearance, she is described as a straightforward, righteous, and wise student.
Both Kang Sun Ho and Oh Kang Hee are students of veteran detective Yoo Dong Man, portrayed by Cha Tae Hyun.
In the upcoming Kdrama, the trio is set to undergo a chaotic investigation in attempts to solve a challenging case.
Police University Cast Attends Script Reading
Cast members, except for f(x)'s Krystal, and the whole team, reunited for a script reading back on June 18.
Before starting the table read, "Police University" director Yoo Kwan Mo expressed his thoughts on the upcoming KBS series and assured the team that he would do his best.
"I hope that no one gets hurt during the journey from spring to autumn, and I hope everyone is healthy and, above all, that everyone is happy. With the thought that this work will be the last, I will do my best and devote my soul."
"Police Academy" will be the newest Monday and Tuesday, replacing the webtoon-based drama "At a Distance Spring is Green."
In addition, the KBS rom-com series is slated to premiere on July 26, running with a total of 16 episodes.
