Ji Chang Wook and Jo Woo Jin's Thriller Film ‘Hard Hit’ Tops Box Office for Two Consecutive Weeks

Two weeks after it was released to theaters, thriller movie "Hard Hit" starring Ji Chang Wook and Jo Woo Jin consecutively remained as the top box office hit.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network, "Hard Hit" maintained its top spot at the weekend box office for two weeks and was able to surpass 730,000 movie goers.

Jo Woo Jin and Ji Chang Wook's "Hard Hit" Continues to Break Records

During the first day of screening, "Hard Hit" had 92,905 audiences, and is continuously increasing today. The movie also became the highest-grossing film among the Korean films released this 2021.

Ji Chang Wook and Jo Woo Jin's movie is still on the run to break records in the history of Korean films. "Hard Hit" is gaining more popularity due to its compelling story concept, blended with an amazing cast lineup.

CJ ENM's "Hard Hit" is a chase thriller film that tells the story of Sung Kyu (Jo Woo Jin), who works as a head at a bank center receives a suspicious phone call while he is on his way to work. The anonymous caller says, "The moment you get out of the car, a bomb will explode."

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook plays the role of Jin Woo. With its intense and action scenes, viewers are hooked on Jo Woo Jin's realistic car-chasing part where he displayed a fierce and brave persona. Ji Chang Wook also made an impressive acting with his character as a villain.

After receiving overwhelming support, Jo Woo Jin and Ji Chang Wook made a short video message for their fans. "Hard Hit" also marks Jo Woo Jin's first movie lead role after 22 years of debut as an actor.

Ji Chang Wook Overseas Fans Donate to Milal Welfare Foundation in Celebration of His 34th Birthday

"Love in the Struck City" star Ji Chang Wook turned another year older on July 5 and his fans made a generous donation at the Milal Welfare Foundation.

According to the chairman of the said foundation, Ji Chang Wook's overseas fans donated 17 million won to celebrate the actor's special day.

They revealed that the donation will be used to support the creative activities of "Bridge On Arte," an art troupe for the development of the disabled individuals operated by Milal Welfare Foundation.

On the other hand, Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young's 2015 drama "Healer" is confirmed to have a webtoon adaptation and expected to gain more attention in the local and international K-drama fans.
