Apink‘s Eunji, Lee Sun Bin, Han Sun Hwa, and Super Junior‘s Siwon Confirmed to Star in Upcoming Drama ‘Drunken City Women’

Apink's Eunji, Lee Sun Bin, Han Sun Hwa, and Super Junior's Siwon are set to lead the cast of upcoming K-drama "Drunken City Women."

The drama officially welcomed the four actors as the lead stars in Tving's soon-to-be-released original series.

Over the broadcasting network's official Instagram, a series of still cuts were released, teasing fans about the upcoming K-drama.

"The story of the girls whose belief in life is a drink after work. See you soon on TV, with the whole cast," the caption reads.

Back in June, the Super Junior member, whose real name is Choi Siwon, reportedly cast as one of the lead stars.

This will be his comeback on the small screen following the success of the 2019 drama "My Fellow Citizens!"

"Drunken City Women" Cast, Synopsis, and Release Date

Expected to premiere later this year, "Drunken City Women" follows the story of three young professional women who find drinking their escape to reality and considers going out and getting drunk their biggest joy in life.

In the forthcoming drama, Lee Sun Bin, Apink's Eunji, and Han Sun Hwa portray struggling women who are in their early 30s are still striving to survive in the real world.

The "Criminal Minds" star Lee Sun Bin will act as the tv scriptwriter Ahn So Hee, while Han Sun Hwa is set to portray Han Ji Yeon, a yoga instructor.

Meanwhile, the Apink member, whose real name is Jeong Eun Ji, plays Kang Ji Gu, an origami content creator.

Interestingly, the three ladies will be joined by Super Junior's Siwon, who plays Kang Buk Gu and will be the only male member of the drinking group.

Kang Buk Gu works as an entertainment producer and Ahn So Hee's co-worker.

In a recent report, the production team pointed out that many viewers would relate to the story of the upcoming K-drama "Drunken City Women," and it will be the newest feel-good series.

In addition, the team also lauded the lineup of the cast that indeed gave justice to their respective roles.

"We'll deliver comfort and fun through a universal story with a relatable setup. We have cast actors who are spot on with the appealing aspects of each character, so we will showcase a compelling and highly immersive drama."

Back-to-Back Projects

Aside from Choi Siwon, "Drunken City Women" will also be Apink's Eunji's return in K-drama following JTBC's crime thriller series "Untouchable" back in 2017, where she played the lead role of Seo Yi Ra.

However, fans got to see the 27-year-old singer-actress in one episode of "Backstreet Rookie."

As for Han Sun Hwa, she recently starred in the Korean remake of "Undercover" alongside A-listers Ji Jin Hee, Kim Hyun Joo, and Yeon Woo Jin.

Apart from it, she is also cast to appear in the upcoming movie "Tomb of the River."

Joining the "Drunken City Women" cast who is booked and busy this year is Lee Sun Bin with her new movie "Bacteria" and soon to premier historical drama "Sage of Calligraphy Wang Xi Zhi."
