Mystery-thriller series Mouse starring Lee Seung Gi and Lee Hee Joon goes international!
Mouse to Compete with Other Big International Series for the International Panorama Category
Korean drama Mouse which opened a new perspective for tvN genre with its delicate direction and detailed script has been nominated for the International Panorama Category in Series Mania 2021.
Series Mania 2021 originally started in 2010 and is now celebrating its 11th year. The French television festival is an event where various talented artists such as directors, writers, and viewers from all over the world gather in one place to showcase and select the best drama series.
This year's celebration is scheduled to happen from August 26 to September 2 in Lille, France.
tvN's Mouse showed the power of its concept through its heavy messages that soothes the pain of crime victims and their families in such unpredictable events in life. The mise-en-scene is an important element that added fun to the interpretation of the story. The magnificent directing also stands out for it well showcased the three dimensional narrative of the masterpiece.
Of course the drama wouldn't get its recognition without the teamwork of the actors involved in the project. The Vagabond star Lee Seung Gi perfectly transformed into a psychopath and was able to convey strong emotions that added dynamic to his acting.
Same as with his lead co-stars, Lee Hee Joon, Park Ju Hyun, and Kyung Soo Jin. These three artists were able to exhibit their full potential in the drama and they were lauded for their impressive execution to their respective characters.

Frederic Lavigne Praises tvN's Mouse for its Overall Content and Execution
Among the international series nominated in the Panorama category from the UK, US, France, Italy, Turkey, Israel, and other works that are known around the world, tvN's Mouse is the only Korean work.
Frederic Lavigne, artistic director of the Series Maniac shared, "Korean series 'Mouse' depicts an exciting pursuit of a killer that perfectly balances scientific speculation about psychopath inheritance and story development."
He continued, "The drama created a constant tension and allowed the actors to present a variety of performances." Frederic also said that Mouse proved Korea's talent for focusing the viewers in a creative way, approaching ethical issues, and creating solid thrillers.
Meanwhile, various officials from the production team of Mouse were very happy about the news. They were proud that another Korean drama is getting lots of recognition outside Korea.
Ran Choi, Mouse' scriptwriter was invited to attend the event in France, according to him "I am very excited to be invited to this prestigious event. " He also mentioned that he wanted to showcase the new genre into a wider audience.
