Everyone is curious about the intriguing end game of K-drama "Nevertheless," starring Han So Hee, Song Kang, and beloved second lead Chae Jong Hyeop.
Despite the low ratings, the JTBC drama continues to create buzz online as netizens gush over the confusion and not to mention the whirlwind romance between Yu Na Bi (Han So Hee) and Park Jae Eon.
The Saturday night drama is based on a popular webtoon of the same name directed by "Devilish Joy" director Kim Ha Ram and penned by "Dating Class" screenwriter Jung Won.
"Nevertheless" follows the story of young love between Yu Na Bi, a senior art student who just had a bitter experience on her first romance, and Park Jae Eon, who is famous for his charming looks and for being the campus flirt.
Amid their budding romance, their relationship (or the lack thereof) was tested by their past.
As for Jae Eon, his former girlfriend Yoon Seol Ah, played by Lee Yeol Eum, returned to South Korea in hopes of reconciliation.
The same goes for Na Bi's childhood friend, Yang Do Hyuk, portrayed by Chae Jong Hyeop, who turned out to be Jae Eon's biggest rival.
Interestingly, what sets "Nevertheless" apart from other romance dramas are the warning signals that Jae Eon illustrates.
That being said, let's dive deeper into the five red flags shown by Park Jae Eon but ignored by Yu Na Bi.

Hitting Two Birds with One Stone
In "Nevertheless" episode 3, the drama welcomed new character Yoon Seol Ah, who happens to be one of Jae Eon's ex-girlfriends.
At the time, he was already seeing Na Bi but was also busy reconnecting with Seol Ah.
In one of the scenes, she caught Jae Eon meeting Seol Ah inside the campus.
There, she realized that he is much more comfortable with Seol Ah, which confused the softie female lead.
The Butterfly Tattoo
Remember the scene where Park Jae Eon invited Yu Na Bi to the club? This was also their first official date despite their "no label relationship."
In the previous episode, Jae Eon pulled a romantic trick on Yu Na Bi that completely swept her off her feet. It came after he drew a butterfly on her wrist, suggesting how he loves Na Bi, which means butterfly in Korean.
The senior art student, being all sentimental, refused to wash it because it reminded her of him.
Unfortunately, it seemed he pulled the same trick on other girls as Yu Na Bi also saw the same butterfly tattoo on one of Jae Eon's female friends.
Park Jae Eon Never Admitted His Relationship with Yu Na Bi
In the early episodes of "Nevertheless," some of their schoolmates were baffled and started to get curious about their connection.
At one of their casual get-togethers, a senior student asked him about his current status with Na Bi, and to her shock, Park Jae Eon told him, "It's nothing like that," and turned to Na Bi, saying, "There's nothing going on. Right?"
Oh Bit Na Warned Yu Na Bi about Park Jae Eon
Aside from the spewing warning signs by Park Jae Eon, Na Bi also received a reality check from one of her friends, Oh Bit Na (Yang Hye Ji), about him.
As she noticed Na Bi was slowly falling for him, Bit Na got honest and mentioned Park Jae Eon's reputation.
Of course, Na Bi opted to ignore the red flags and continued seeing Park Jae Eon.
Park Jae Eon Ghosted Yu Na Bi
Being the walking red flag that he is, Park Jae Eon also ghosted Na Bi, as seen in "Nevertheless" episode 3.
After sharing a passionate kiss, Na Bi got confused after he suddenly stopped messaging her. At the time, she thought that maybe Jae Eon was treating her as one of his girls and was just toying with her feelings.
After sharing a passionate kiss, Yoo Na Bi was baffled by Jae Eon's action and got confused why he suddenly turned cold and stopped messaging her.
With this, she thought he might be just flirting and toying with her.
