On August 9, KBS2 TV held an online press conference with the cast of the new youth romance drama series "Police University".
The new drama series stars "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" actor Cha Tae Hyun, B1A4 member and "Love in the Moonlight" actor Jinyoung, and f(x) member and "Sweet & Sour" actress" Krystal Jung.
The actors and production staff talked about their journey and struggles during the filming of the drama. Secrets and TMIs were shared with laughter during the online presentation.
Krystal To Portray Judo Girl, Shares She Learned Judo For Her Role
Idol-turned-actress Krystal Jung, simply known mononymously as Krystal, joins the cast of the new KBS2 drama 'Police University' as cider-like student and Judo girl Oh Kang Hee.
Krystal is a member of SM Entertainment's first multinational girl group f(x) who produced electropop music and gained a solid fanbase worldwide.
She ventured into acting at such a young age and appeared in dramas "My Lovely Girl," "The Heirs," "Legend of the Blue Sea," and "The Bride of Habaek." Krystal recently starred in the smash-hit Netflix film "Sweet & Sour" with "I'm Not A Robot" actress Chae Soo Bin and "My Roommate Is A Gumiho" actor Jang Ki Yong.

The idol and actress shared that she usually becomes curious about the jobs and roles she hasn't done yet and chooses the ones that challenge her.
Krystal shared that she learned Judo during the filming of the drama in order to portray her character well. She will be playing the character of Oh Kang Hee, a dedicated and determined freshman student at National Police University who dreams of becoming a police officer. She described Oh Kang Hee as an honest, loyal, and hard-working student. "She fell many times in life, but she still stood up and worked diligently before attending National Police University," she added. Like Oh Kang Hee, Krystal is a person who does her best in everything she tries. She's proven herself many times, from being an idol to appearing in various roles on both big and small screens.
Cha Tae Hyun Compares Krystal To Legendary Actress Jun Ji Hyun
"Along with the Gods" actor, Cha Tae Hyun shares his thoughts about the rising actress Krystal, who plays the role of one of his students in the new drama "Police University."
The actor compared Krystal's visuals and acting skills to the award-winning actress Jun Ji Hyun. "Whenever I see Krystal, I think of Jun Ji Hyun. The two of them have the same acting style, especially when Ji Hyun was still younger," the actor reasoned.

Krystal, who was sitting across from him, blushed from the praise. "I'm getting shy," the f(x) member shared.
With this, the actress' new character raises excitement and anticipation as she is expected to act beautifully while showing her fresh and cider-like charms.
Jinyoung Promises To Dance To Hot Summer When Ratings Rise To Ten
B1A4's Jung Jinyoung plays the role of a hacker and police student Kang Seon Ho who doesn't have many dreams in life until he meets the love of his life.
During the press conference, Jinyoung boldly declares, "I haven't told them (co-stars) yet but I decided to choreograph f(x)'s "Hot Summer" when the ratings exceed 10 percent."
"Hot Summer" is one of f(x)'s hit songs in their time, which Krystal absolutely loves.

Jinyoung co-stars laughed at his decision saying, "If it's over 10 percent, you can't do anything."
'Police University' Drama Details and Release Date
"Police University" tells the different stories of students and professors' day-to-day lives in National Police University as professor Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) teams up with his students Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoun) and Oh Kang Hee (Krystal) in a collaborative investigation.
The production team encouraged the viewers to anticipate the new drama, "'Police University' is a summer vacation drama that the whole family can enjoy together. Please support Krystal, Jinyoung, and Cha Tae Hyun in their new drama."
"A Gentleman's Dignity" actor Lee Jong Hyuk, B.A.P.'s Yoo Youngjae, "Vincenzo", "Rich Family's Son" actress Hong Soo Hyun, and rising actors Lee Dal and Chu Young Woo, will also appear in the drama series.

The drama series is directed by Yoo Kwan Mo, written by Moon Min Jung, and produced by KBS Drama Production.
