Kang Seon Ho Meets Yoo Dong Man, Chaos Ensues
The comical meeting of Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung) and Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) enticed the viewers to watch the drama's pilot episode.
In the first episode of 'Police University', detective Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) was determined to catch the culprits behind the notorious illegal gambling. The detective failed one too many police operations and he has yet to prove himself causing him to do the illegal gambling bust operation on his own.
He then meets hacker Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung), a boy who's experienced the most painful thing in life of losing the ones you love the most, who hacked the illegal gambling site to steal money from the criminals to pay for his adoptive father's (Oh Man Seok) surgery bills, which obviously put the police's operation in jeopardy.
Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung) and his adoptive brother were taken to the police station where they were told that the two of them committed a huge crime that will send them to jail for about three years.
However, their father who just got discharged from the hospital after his successful operation knelt down and begged for their forgiveness. Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun) showed a different side of him as he ripped the paper containing the two young men's information and dismissing their criminal case. Though he let them off the hook, Yoo Dong Man warned the hacker, "Don't let me see you again. If we see each other again, I'll finally give you hell."
Kang Seon Ho Feels Deep Romantic Attraction For Oh Kang Hee
The hacker and Judo girl's first meeting didn't go quite well like the fairytales in the movies. Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung) accidentally confessed to Oh Kang Hee (Krystal) through an electronic signboard that was being broadcasted from all over the place inside the stadium. Hilariously enough, the confession was meant for somebody else. His adoptive brother, Yoon Seung Beom (Choi Woo Sung), asked him a favor to help him confess to the girl of his own dreams. But, things didn't go accordingly to what was planned. Instead, he was the one who confessed to the girl who made his heart beat faster during their first encounter.

After their embarrassingly reckless encounter, they both see each other at the Korean National Police University where Kang Seon Ho decided to go to after hearing Oh Kang Hee's dream of becoming a police officer.
The Judo girl was undoubtedly his biggest influence on becoming a police officer after he eavesdropped accidentally on her and her coach's conversation. The young woman's determination to succeed in the Judo match despite being injured piqued his interest and boosted his esteem to dream bigger.
In the National Police University waiting room, Oh Kang Hee then became suspicious, confronting the young man, "Did you go to this school because of me?"
"No, I dream of becoming a police officer, too," he simply replied while the two of them wait for their turns at the final interview.
Kang Seon Ho then wishes him luck after Oh Kang Hee's name was called, which the kind gesture made the Judo girl giggle to herself.

Kang Seon Ho (Jinyoung) was called to enter the interview room after waiting for hours. The panel of interviewers consisting of Judo professor Choi Hee Soo (Hong Soo Hyun), law professor Kwon Hyuk Pil (Lee Jong Hyuk), and professor Seo Sang Hak (Kang Shin Il) were waiting for him.
To say that he was nervous was an understatement. He wanted to get in the university to achieve his dreams, and especially, to make his foster father proud of him.
Kang Seon Ho was trembling right before the interviewer, but he almost lost himself after he faced the man he dreads to see in his life, detective Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun).
After Yoo Dong Man failed his missions, he was suspended and thrown to the university to teach young minds as a professor.
Kang Seon Ho was speechless. Hewas in utter shock after seeing the man who almost put him behinds bars, and realizing that he will surely experience hell under his care.
