‘River Where the Moon Rises’ Star Lee Ji Hoon Reveals the Major Accident He Encountered While Filming a Drama

With all the fight and action scenes included in the drama concepts, most of the actors are prone to accidents. Even though there are complete gear and equipment for the scenes, unexpected circumstances come along the way.

Just like what happened to actor Lee Ji Hoon. He confessed to one of the major accidents he encountered recently while filming a drama.

Lee Ji Hoon Got Stabbed with a Knife While in the Middle of a Fight Scene

In the previous episode of the MBC Entertainment program "Radio Star" that aired last August 11, actor Lee Ji Hoon appeared as a guest.

The "Dinner Mate" star has spoken about the experience he had in one of his previous dramas. According to him, he recently underwent a surgery and drew attention by revealing the dizzying experience of being stabbed by a knife while filming.

In continuation, Lee Ji Hoon further explained what really happened. He started,"Just recently, while I was filming an action scene for a drama, I was hit in the head and nose with a knife."

He added that after the shooting, the injured part got swollen, and he needed to take anti-inflammatory medicine. Lee Ji Hoon also said that because of what had happened, he felt the pain and had shortness of breath in his right nose. What made him uncomfortable was during the next day, they had to film the scene on a high mountain.

Fast forward to, the "Woman of 9.9 Billion" star went immediately to the hospital and was diagnosed with "deviated septum" (it is where the septum, the thin wall that separates the nostrils, is displaced to one side). Due to this, Lee Ji Hoon was advised to prepare himself for immediate surgery.

The Korean heartthrob said that it was a common surgery in Korea, but based on his experience it was aggravated by trauma. Lee Ji Hoon clarified that it was not a dangerous operation, but thinking about the operation got him scared most.

Lee Ji Hoon added that when he was finally in a wheelchair being assisted to the operating room, he was nervous and got emotional and couldn't think of anyone but only his family.

He didn't mention in which of his dramas he got to experience such an accident.

Following the controversial drama "River Where the Moon Rises" where Lee Ji Hoon starred. The young actor is currently preparing for his small screen comeback with the drama "Desire."

In fact, a new drama poster was officially released. Lee Ji Hoon will be working with actress Han Chae Young, Ji Yi Soo, and actor Koo Ja Sung. IHQ is the one in charge of producing the upcoming project.

"Desire" is scheduled to hit primetime starting on November 26.
