On August 16, TVING confirmed that "You Are My Spring" actor Kim Dong Wook, "Kingdom" actor Kim Sung Kyu, and "Monthly Magazine Home" actress Chae Jung Ahn will work together in the upcoming suspense thriller drama series "The King of Pigs."

"The King of Pigs" is a thriller suspense drama based on an animated film of the same name created by Director Yeon Sang Ho.

Actor Kim Dong Wook proved to the public that he is indeed one of the best actors in the South Korean industry after being in the scene for almost over two decades. He garnered attention after appearing in the 2007 rom-com drama series "Coffee Prince" with Yoon Eun Hye, Gong Yoo, Lee Sun Kyun, and Chae Jung Ahn.

In the new drama series, the 39-year-old actor will take on the role of Hwang Kyung Min, a man who lives with the trauma from the violence he experienced 20 years ago. His peaceful and happy life with his wife suddenly becomes catastrophic after an unexpected moment triggered his trauma.

Kim Dong Wook is currently starring in the 2021 thriller mystery romance drama "You Are My Spring" with actors Seo Hyun Jin, Yoon Park, and Nam Gyu Ri.

Meanwhile, actor Kim Sung Kyu will portray the role of honorable detective Jung Jong Suk who will trace the mysterious messages that were sent by a so-called friend from 20 years ago, and who will try his best to stop murders from happening any further.

Kim Sung Kyu gained recognition after his impressive acting performance in the 2019 action thriller film "The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil" with actors Ma Dong Seok and Kim Mu Yeol.

He is currently starring in the smash hit Netflix drama series "Kingdom" with Ju Ji Hoon, Bae Doo Na, and more.

Finally, actress Chae Jung Ahn will take on the role of the sophisticated and charismatic detective Kang Jin Ah, who is determined to solve any case right before her. She has her own solid principles, which earned her resentment of her teammates.

Kang Jin Ah and Jung Jong Suk (Kim Sung Kyu) attended the same school 20 years ago.

The actress will finally work together again with actor Kim Dong Wook after they both appeared in "Coffee Prince." In her long years in the industry, she appeared in hit dramas "Prime Minister & I," "Yong Pal," and "Man to Man."

Chae Jung Ahn starred in the recently concluded romance drama "Monthly Magazine Home" with Jung So Min and Kim Ji Seok.
