The forthcoming romantic comedy-drama series "Hometown Cha-cha-cha," starring actors Shin Min Ah, Kim Seon Ho, and Lee Sang Yi, released brand new stills that transcend all generations.
tvN, the drama's production team and cast, as well as the drama itself prove that "Hometown Cha-cha-cha" appeals to all ages.
Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho To Present a Work That Embraces All Generations in 'Hometown Cha-cha-cha'
"Oh My Venus" actress Shin Min Ah and "Start-Up" actor Kim Seon Ho work together for the first time on the small screen with upcoming rom-com drama "Hometown Cha-cha-cha".
In the drama, the two actors play pragmatic dentist Yoon Hye Jin and all-rounder handyman Hong Doo Sik, played by actors Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho, respectively.
Yoon Hye Jin, who was previously working in Seoul, opens up a dental clinic in Gongjin. Although she is unfamiliar with the place for which she was built for life in the city, she will try to draw her daily life in the seaside village.
On the other hand, Hong Doo Sik is a young man who knows the smallest up to the biggest things in the peaceful seaside village of Gongjin. He is an all-around handyman, and though he is quite uptight, he is still charming.
In the newly published stills, Yoon Hye Jin and Hong Doo Sik are seen spending time with Gongjin's oldest resident, Kim Gam Ri, played by "National Grandma" Kim Young Ok.
Elder Kim Gam Ri and Yoon Hye Jin are surrounded by awkwardness as they are seated far from each other. However, a sense of warmth and glee radiated from Yoon Hye Jin, who was looking at the Gongjin elder.
In the second still, Hong Doo Sik sits down with the Gongjin elder who are both doing the laundry. The still depicts why Hong Doo Sik is known as an all-rounder among the villagers.
Interestingly, prospective viewers' expectations and curiosity about Hong Doo Sik's relationships with the Gongjin villagers were amplified.
Because Gongjin is a small and peaceful seaside village, the villagers know one another. In the third still, the closeness of the Gongjin neighbors can be seen. As they have all lived together for a long time, their bond is tight-knit, and for someone like Yoon Hye Jin who feels like she's entering a tough place, these relationships feel unfamiliar and new.
