Amid the success of his K-drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" with Hallyu star Shin Min Ah, Kim Seon Ho is taking up a notch as he is set to make his big-screen debut with the upcoming film "Sad Tropics."
From his good boy character, the 35-year-old South Korean heartthrob is once again stealing the hearts of his fans through a surprising role for his first-ever film.
Kim Seon Ho In Talks to Star in Upcoming Movie 'Sad Tropics'
According to Dispatch, his agency, Salt Entertainment, revealed that the actor is courted to star in a movie directed by Park Hoon Jung.
"Kim Seon-ho received an offer to appear in 'Sad Tropics' and is positively discussing it," Kim Seon Ho's agency shared to the outlet.
Helmed by the "New World" and "The witch" PD, the much-awaited film starring the "Start-Up" star follows the story of a boy who moves to South Korea to look for his Korean father and Filipino mother.
Although his agency did not disclose the character, reports cited that he is set to portray one of two main lead stars that would indeed surprise his thousands of fans with a completely different role.
Following the confirmation, Kim Seon Ho's new movie will begin production as soon as "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" wraps its filming.
Interestingly, "Sad Tropics" targets to start the filming session by the end of November.

From one top rating K-drama to another, Kim Seon Ho took the world by storm with his good boy aura in the mega-hit series "Start-Up," where he played the second lead, Han Ji Pyeong, alongside Nam Joo Hyuk and Hallyu star Bae Suzy.
This is also where he gained the nickname "good boy" in reference to his character.
Now, the 35-year-old star is making waves with his role as Gongjin's local Chief Hong in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," where he took on the role of Hong Doo Shik.
Prior to the much-awaited release date, the rom-com drama receives an overwhelming response due to the fresh team-up between the lead stars, dubbing Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah as the "dimple couple" due to their striking features.

Following the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" release, the tvN Saturday and Sunday drama kick off with soaring viewership ratings after scoring an average nationwide rating of 6.8 percent.
With this, it took the first spot as the number one spot across all cable channels during its time slot.
Meanwhile, Good Data Corporation recently cited that Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah dominate the latest weekly rankings for the most buzzworthy actors.
The "Start-Up" star ranked first for the fourth week of August, followed by his co-star, who got the second spot.
This is an excellent achievement for the drama as it only released its first episode on August 28.
