Itaewon Class Japanese Remake: Roppongi Class
Meanwhile, according to a report stated by My Daily on September 8, JTBC drama Itaewon Class, which gained popularity both in South Korea and other foreign countries, will have a Japanese adaptation Roppongi Class.

A known Japanese magazine, Weekly Women, shared, "Itaewon Class will be remade in a Japanese version next (2022) summer."
In addition, known Japanese star Takeuchi Ryoma is in talks to play Park Sae Ro Yi's character.
Meanwhile, due to its popularity, "Itaewon Class" also won the Best Drama Award at the Asian Television Award last January 2021.

Did You Know? Takeuchi Ryoma Already Worked with Korean Actress Han Hyo Joo
The 28-year-old Japanese actor Takeuchi Ryoma is known for his roles in Japanese dramas, such as "Downtown Rocket" (2018), "Ship of Theseus" (2020), "Love You as the World Ends" (2021) and more.
He starred in the movie was "The Sun Does not Move," along with Tatsuya Fujiwara and South Korean actress Han Hyo Joo, last March 5.

This is not the first time that one of Park Seo Joon's dramas have been in talks to have a Japanese remakes. Previously, Japanese fans voted his romantic-comedy drama "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" as the series they want to have a Japanese adaptation.
This goes to show that Park Seo Joon is heavily recognized in Japan.

Meanwhile, after "Itaewon Class," Park Seo Joon is slated to star in two films "Dream" (alongside IU) and "Concrete Utopia" (with Lee Byung Hun and Park Bo Young).
The "Hwarang" star is also headed to the U.S. to start his Hollywood journey as he has been confirmed to join the cast of the much-awaited American film, "The Marvels."
