Song Joong Ki to Possibly Host 26th Busan International Film Festival
On September 8, Sports Seoul reported that Song Joong Ki is courted to host the opening ceremony of the 26th Busan International Film Festival.
In response to the news, Song Joong Ki's agency History D&C confirmed that the actor received a proposal to host the film festival and they are still discussing the offer.
This year's Busan International Film Festival will be held on October 6.
Meanwhile, aside from his potential role as a host in the said event, Song Joong Ki's previous record-breaking sci-fi movie "Space Sweepers" is one of the many films to premiere at the BIFF.

Song Joong Ki Hosting Stints
A well-rounded celebrity that he is, Song Joong Ki has a hidden talent when it comes to hosting. Before he became one of the famous K-drama actors today, the "Vincenzo" star became active in MCing in various K-pop shows.
Including in his portfolio, Song Joong Ki became a regular host of the famous KBS show "Music Bank" from 2009 to 2010.
Following his "Music Bank" journey, Joong Ki landed another hosting career with JTBC's audition program "Made in U."
Not just that, one of the biggest K-pop awarding shows Mnet Asian Music Awards, popularly known as MAMA, and is celebrated yearly, is where Song Joong Ki honed his talent in hosting. He got invited to MC the music award in the past, and his most recent participation was in 2020.
What's Next for Song Joong Ki in 2021
Song Joong Ki resumed filming his forthcoming movie "Bogota," which got postponed due to COVID-19. The actor is also confirmed to star in a new revenge drama, JTBC's "The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family."
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Bin, and their drama "Vincenzo" are nominated at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2021 in the categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Drama, respectively.
His movie "Space Sweepers" might also have its much-awaited return with two more sequels. A series is also in discussions to be produced, according to the executive producer of the blockbuster film.
