The SBS revenge drama is known for its shocking twists and turns; after all, "The Penthouse: War in Life" is a makjang series.

However, the season finale gained a mixed reaction from viewers, one of which is the death of Shim Su Ryeon.

To recall, "Penthouse 3" episode 14 gave the audience another round of whirlwind of emotions after Su Ryeon fell off the cliff where Oh Yoon Hee (Eugene) died.

Later on, the drama revealed that Cheon Seo Jin (Kim So Yeon) did not push her but decided to throw herself into the cliff because she thinks she started the chaos at Hera Palace.

On the other hand, Kim Young Dae echoed the same stance and said that it was the most shocking plot twist seen in the third season.

"I was very surprised when I read the script. I really liked the affection and respect that Seok Hoon felt toward the character Shim Su Ryeon in the second half," he mentioned, adding that he was invested in Su Ryeon's character.

The rising star wrapped up the interview by expressing his massive gratitude to fans, especially for loving Joo Seok Hoon's character.
