Cha Eun Woo to Make His Small Screen Comeback with K-Drama Island
Fantagio Entertainment announced on September 28 that their artist Cha Eun Woo will return to the K-Drama scene.
According to an official representative, "Cha Eun Woo has been cast in a new drama Island and he will be portraying the character of a priest."
Korean fantasy-hero drama Island is based on a Naver Webtoon with the same name and is penned by writers Yoon In Wan and Yang Kyung Il. It will tell the sad and bizarre journey of people who are destined to save the world by fighting against the evil spirits in Jeju Island.
Director Bae Jong, who has been recognized for his delicate and excellent directing skills for the drama Welcome to Dongmakgol and Manipulated City will be incharge of the series. He is expected to show a new side of himself and add fun to the story concept.
Lee Da Hee and Sung Joon are also confirmed to Lead the Island

Meet the New Fantasy-Hero Kdrama Island Cast
Kim Nam Gil who boasts unlimited acting spectrum across dramas and movies such as The Fiery Priest, The Shameless, Bad Guy, The Great Queen of Seondeok, and more will be immersing himself again in a challenging role.
He takes the role of Ban, an individual who has a destiny to protect the world. He agonizes over what value he has to protect the world even though he is already on the cliff of giving up on himself.
Kim Nam Gil recently made a cameo in Lee Honey's new drama One the Woman. The two remain close friends after working together in the hit Kdrama The Fiery Priest.

Opposite Kim Nam Gil in Kdrama Island is Lee Da Hee, who will play the role of Won Mi Ho, a third generation chaebol and a teacher who lives an unwanted life in Jeju Island.
ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo will make his small screen return with Island following True Beauty. He is expected to portray the role of Catholic exorcist named John.
Meanwhile, Sung Joon will be Goong Tan, Kim Nam Gil's sidekick.
In addition to the report, the filming production for Island will start in October and is slated to premiere in the first half of 2022.
