SF9 Rowoon, who received his breakthrough role in "Extraordinary You", diversifies his acting role with KBS2's forthcoming historical romance drama "The King's Affection".
He is set to star in the new drama opposite Park Eun Bin, who showed his acting abilities in many popular dramas like "Hello, My Twenties!".

SF9 Rowoon challenges himself with a new historical romance drama "The King's Affection" alongside "Hello, My Twenties!" star Park Eun Bin.
Rowoon plays Jeong Ji Woon, the teacher of crown prince Lee Hwi (Park Eun Bin). He is one of the brightest and most ferocious men in the palace.
The idol actor described his character as "a friend like a feather is clouds," he reasoned, "It looks clear on the outside, but there is a lot of rain inside", signifying Ji Woon's enigmatic emotions behind his cheery personality.
In addition to his character, the point that Rowoon is also looking forward to seeing is his chemistry together with co-star Park Eun Bin.
"Lee Hwi keeps his distance to protect himself and his hidden secret. On the other hand, Ji Woon has wounds but he keeps people by his side," Rowoon said.
He also shared his work experience with the actress, "Park Eun Bin and I talk a lot with each other on the set. Sharing ideas and opinions on how to improve more has become our daily routine every moment of every day."
Rowoon also encouraged the potential viewers, saying, "Please look forward to seeing the court romance and chemistry of the "HwiWoon Couple" (Lee Hwi and Ji Woon) that Park Eun Bin and I built together."

SF9 Rowoon Shares His Reasons For Choosing the New Drama
"The King's Affection" follows the struggles and survival of crown prince and soon-to-be king Lee Hwi, who was born as a twin but soon abandoned because he was a girl.
The reason why Rowoon chose "The King's Affection" as his new project is because of his conviction that he can tell many different and interesting stories through his abilities as an actor.
He also said, "I want to challenge myself with a historical drama, which has always been interesting to me. And through this work, I want to give a new and refreshing Rowoon to the viewers."
K-Drama 'The King's Affection' Release Date and Further Details
"The King's Affection" is helmed together with "Beauty Inside" director Song Hyuk Wook and "Clean with Passion for Now" screenwriter Han Hee Jung.
Nam Yoon Su, Choi Byung Chan, Bae Yoon Kyung, and Jung Chaeyeon are also part of the main ensemble.
"The King's Affection" is slated to air on Monday, October 11 at 9:30 p.m. KST on KBS and Netflix.
