MBC's "The Veil" followed the tragic story of Han Ji Hyuk (Namgoong Min), the top spy agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), who returns to seek revenge after a traitor drops him into the abyss.

In the drama, Yu Oh Seong took on the role of Baek Mo Sa, the villain who had a surprising relation to Han Ji Hyuk's partner, Yoo Je Yi (Kim Ji Eun).

He revealed that he didn't read the script before the drama's filming. Yu Oh Seong reasoned, "When I first met the director, I was given the role of a back-up. Of course, there was the thought that it would work. So when I was chosen to play the part, the pressure came in but I had a lot of faith in the director."

He also shared that even the other drama actors found out his casting late, "I filmed the first scene and went to a self-production report. After seeing it, the other actors were clueless that I had been chosen to play the role of Baek Mo Sa. I was quite embarrassed."

Yu Oh Seong described his character as a "lonely person" who was manipulative and violent. Despite being similar to Han Ji Hyuk, Baek Mo Sa was a selfish criminal. He said, "Baek Mo Sa was quite sentimental. However, he is a strong man who isn't scared of anyone, not even the higher ups, so I decided to concede my emotions [even when everyone was crying while filming an emotional scene] to play the part."

The actor is a veteran with many years of acting experience, and it is not a surprise that everyone around him admired his acting prowess.

However, Yu Oh Seong expressed his dislike for the constant admiration for him, saying, "An actor has to act. That's how I live. I'm grateful for everyone's touching messages, but acting is something I must do."

He said, "Everyone's character suits their actors but I think Namgoong Min and Kim Ji Eun gave the greatest acting performances as they both finished with just one shot. You have no choice because you are already great actors."
