Lee Jung Jae officially arrived in the U.S to attend back-to-back ceremonies, including the annual Gotham Awards and 2021 Art + Film Gala.

The "Squid Game" star reportedly left South Korea on November 4 to prepare for his upcoming appearances.

To recall, the Netflix series was nominated for Breakthrough Series-Long Format for the 2021 Gotham Awards and will compete against the mini-series "The Good Lord Bird," "Small Axe," "It's A Sin," "The Underground Railroad," and "The White Lotus."

On the other hand, the "Chief of Staff" star will also participate at the 2021 Art+Film Gala alongside fellow "Squid Game" co-star Lee Byung Hun which will take place at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (Lacma) on November 6.

With several engagements in the U.S, the 48-year-old actor took to social media and updated his 4.6 million followers.

Over Lee Jung Jae's Instagram, he revealed that he is currently in L.A and shared a photo with the Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.

"In Los Angeles #netflix #tedsarandos," he wrote.

It seems that the award-winning actor had a courtesy call with the Netflix boss following the massive popularity and achievement of the Kdrama "Squid Game."

With just a week after the release of the nine-part-episode series, Sarandos predicted that the survival theme drama poised to become Netflix's biggest "non-English-language show in the world."

"It's only been out for nine days, and it's a very good chance it's going to be our biggest show ever," he said.

Interestingly, the Kdrama officially became the streaming giant's most-watched show after garnering 111 million views.

In a tweet, Netflix announced this achievement saying, "Squid Game has officially reached 111m fans - making it our biggest series launch ever!"

Apart from the "Deliver Us From Evil" star, "Squid Game" cast also includes Park Hae Soo, Wi Ha Joon, newcomer Jung Ho Yeon and more, helmed and written by "Miss Granny" PD Hwang Dong Hyuk.

Lee Jung Jae Wows Fans With His Perfect English

Before arriving in the U.S, the now global star expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans worldwide, especially being nominated in the Gotham Awards 2021.

In Lee Jung Jae's Instagram story, the South Korean actor shared a video greetings in English.

Donning an all-white outfit, the award-winning actor began by introducing himself as JJ and his iconic role in "Squid Game."

"Hello, it's me JJ. Number 456."

He then took the opportunity to thank his global fans for their support in the blockbuster Netflix series.

"I'm really grateful for your amazing love and support. It's an honor to be nominated for the Gotham Awards."

Lastly, he expressed heartfelt parting words saying that he wanted to meet all his supporters in person as soon as possible.

With this, fans can help but gush over the actor's hidden English skills.

Some even pointed out that Lee Jung Jae speaking English is "another level of hotness."
