Kim Go Eun is a total chameleon when it comes to her roles in Kdrama.
She can flawlessly transform herself as a hardworking over-achiever in "Cheese in the Trap," a feisty detective Jung Tae Eul in "The King: Eternal Monarch," and of course, as the goblin's bride in the 2016 mega-hit Kdrama "Goblin" with Hallyu star Gong Yoo.
The 30-year-old South Korean beauty truly immersed herself in her character. One of the interesting roles she portrayed was with the 2018 movie "Sunset in My Hometown."

According to Yonhap News, Kim Go Eun did not mind gaining weight to transform herself as a chubby country girl named Sun Mi in "Sunset in My Hometown."
During her interview, she gets honest and shares her preparation for the role, which includes a lot of eating.
"I was really happy because I tend to find great happiness in eating," she said, adding, "I didn't mind eating even late at night and getting my face swollen from eating too much, and I liked that."
Furthermore, the actress revealed that director Lee Joon Ik, the genius behind the movie "The Book of Fish," did not require her to alter herself or gain weight for the character.

Kim Go Eun said she decided to add more pounds as soon as she read the screenplay and revealed what prompted her to gain weight.
"When I was studying the characters, I thought that Seon-mi wouldn't look so pretty and that Mi-kyung, on whom Hak-soo had a crush, should look prettier. So I decided to gain weight," Kim Go Eun said.

The "Yumi's Cells" star also revealed how she managed to shed off some pounds after filming "Sunset in My Hometown."
In the same interview, she admitted that it was a bit challenging for her to go back to her usual diet and had to be mindful of what she ate for two months.
It even came to a point where she asked herself, "What am I living for?" and "Am I happy now?'"
Apart from her diet, the actress also makes sure to keep her body in shape by doing regular exercise.
Kim Go Eun's workout routine includes doing yoga and running.
"When I used to be in full exercise swing, I would do yoga five times a week. If you're doing yoga, you should also have a daily diet," she said during her interview with Sure magazine.
She also likes to focus on her beauty by ensuring that she has time to pamper her skin after a long day at shoots.
Kim Go Eun's beauty routine starts by taking a 20-minute shower and applying face masks and eye creams to help smoothen and soothe the skin.
Lastly, she wraps up her day by lighting scented candles to set the mood.
