On November 9, the "Now, We Are Breaking Up" cast Song Hye Kyo, Jang Ki Yong, Choi Hee Soo, Kim Joo Heon, Park Hyo Joo, Yoon Na Mo, and director Lee Gil Bok were all present during the drama's pre-recorded press conference.
It was reported in August that the production of the series would do the press con in advance so that Jang Ki Yong, who is one of the main leads can participate before he enlisted in the military.
'Now, We Are Breaking Up' Has No Villains
Giving the public a fresh start and an introduction about the drama, director Lee Gil Bok immediately proceeded in explaining the series' concept. Since it will be about the story of life through love and breakups, he confirmed that "Now, We Are Breaking Up" doesn't have any antagonists. He continued saying that by properly showcasing the talent of their actors and by displaying warm emotions, the series will receive lots of love from the viewers.

Cast Introduces Their Characters
After his turn, the stars began to introduce their characters. Song Hye Kyo went first and shared, "I'll be portraying the design team's manager, Ha Young Eun. She has a healthy mindset about her relationships with the people around her. She is also passionate when it comes to love and career." The "Descendants of the Sun" actress confessed that because of her role, she did a lot of studying to fully immerse herself in her new role.
Jang Ki Yong, on the other hand, said that his character Yoon Jae Guk is a passionate fashion photographer and a guy who is honest when it comes to love.
Kim Joo Heon introduced his role as Seok Do Hoon, a professional who works in fashion PR. Meanwhile, his on-screen partner Choi Hee Seo shared that she takes the role of Hwang Chi Sook, the team's general director. She added that even though her character is rich and has all she needs, there is still a missing piece in her life.
Meanwhile, Park Hyo Joo, who will be playing Jeon Mi Sook's character, hinted to the viewers that they should look forward to the girls' close friendship in the drama. Lastly, her husband in the series Yoo Na Moo will play Kwak Soo Ho, the general manager of Seok Do Hoon's company.
Jang Ki Yong and Song Hye Kyo Confess Why They Choose to Star in 'Now, We Are Breaking Up'
Song Hye Kyo shared that she enjoyed doing "Now, We Are Breaking Up" because the concept is realistic, and Ha Young Eun's character is the same age as her and definitely can relate to. The female star also felt grateful to be acting with Jang Ki Yong.
On the other hand, Jang Ki Yong shared that it was fateful to be able to appear in "Now, We Are Breaking Up" before he left for military service. The lead actor confessed that he chose to do the project because he liked the plot of the drama that involves fashion and got curious about the love story of the main characters. It was also a good opportunity for him to portray mature acting roles before he reached his thirties.
Song Hye Kyo added that she got closer with Park Hyo Joo and Choi Hee Soo while filming the drama. The three of them felt regretful that the production finally came to an end. They had worked together before but were shy to talk to each other but glad that they met again to do another drama, and it is where they found friendship with each other, said Song Hye Kyo.
