From being a second lead to becoming the star of his own drama, Bae In Hyuk, to potentially have his first lead role in SBS' forthcoming drama!

Rising actor and new Kdrama heartthrob Bae In Hyuk is courted to lead the new SBS series "Cheer Up" and is positively reviewing the offered role.

Meanwhile, Han Ji Hyun, who appeared in the megahit series "Penthouse," also received an offer to play the role opposite Bae In Hyuk. Many are already looking forward to their possible tandem.

Campus mystery romantic comedy-drama "Cheer Up" will revolve its story around a collapsing university squad that had once in a lifetime memorable story from their past. In addition, once the cast is already confirmed, the production will immediately start in the first half of 2022.

Following the success of tvN's "My Roommate is a Gumiho," in which he played the character of Gye Sun Woo, who gave the viewers another second lead syndrome, new doors opened for the rookie star.

In July, Bae In Hyuk was confirmed to join Hwang In Yeop and Seo Hyun Jin in a new series "Why Oh Soo Jae?." He will star as Choi Yoon Sang, a second-year college student at the Seojoong University's law school, who develops special feelings for his tutor Soo Jae.

The drama is expected to premiere sometime in 2022.

Bae In Hyuk's Previous Kdramas

Meanwhile, Bae In Hyuk started to own the spotlight when he appeared in "My Roommate is a Gumiho." His role as a campus crush hottie who had secret feelings for his college classmate Lee Dam (Girl's Day Hyeri) immediately gained attention from the Kdrama fans. Though he played as the second lead, Bae In Hyuk already made an impact on the viewers.

The 23-year-old actor also appeared in KBS2's "At a Distance, Spring is Green," where he took the character of Nam Soo Hyun. It was a challenging role, but he was able to receive favorable comments from the audience.

Bae In Hyuk worked with Park Ji Hoon and "True Beauty" star Kang Min Ah.

The rising actor began his acting journey in 2020 when he starred in MBC's "XX." Bae In Hyuk also made special appearances in "Men are Men," "Was It Love," and "The Spies Who Loved Me."

He is now one of the promising South Korean actors who keeps on winning the viewers' hearts.
