The drama remake of the 2001 romance melodrama film "Bungee Jumping" was officially cancelled on the afternoon of December 9.
Kakao TV's "Bungee Jumping" starring NCT member Jaehyun and actor Lee Hyun Wook was announced to be scrapped officially from production.
The drama follows the unconventional romance story that begins when Im Hyun Bin meets In Woo Seo, a person who is stuck in the past and memory of an ex-lover, In Tae Hee, who is already dead.
The drama touches the themes of heterosexual love, reincarnation and homosexuality, which is delicate and emotional especially in the early 2000s.
Previously, Kakao TV planned to introduce a well-made remake in cooperation with the classic film's original production team in hopes to release it in the early half of 2022. However, the production halted in respect of the original screenwriter's beliefs and opinions.
