Gong Myung is ready for a new chapter as the "Lovers of the Red Sky" star will enlist today, December 14.
His agency, Saram Entertainment, released a series of photos featuring his new haircut.
The 27-year-old actor looked stunning, sporting a buzz-cut hairstyle, which totally compliments his boy-next-door aura.
Gong Myung Surprises Fans with a Special Video on His Military Enlistment Day
Over the label's official Instagram, they also showcased a surprise treat for his fans as a way to thank his fans for their warm and full support.
"Before enlisting in the military, Gong Myung prepared a special gift for his fans!" the caption reads, featuring the "House on Wheels 3" host with his new look.
In a short clip, the "Be Melodramatic" star said that he wanted to meet his fans face to face, but due to the surge of COVID-19, he and his agency decided to greet them through a special video.
"When the time comes when we can talk face to face, I want to greet each and every one of us face to face," he added.
He then continued the video but promised to return with a healthy mind and body and asked his supporters to "wait" for his return.
"I will return with a healthy body and a healthy mind. So please wait a little bit. I want to thank and say I love you to all the fans who love me. I'll be back," the actor added.
Moreover, Gong Myung's agency also revealed that the actor would release a vlog containing his day-to-day activities and preparation for his enlistment. The upcoming vlog is said to include "even the smallest details during the preparation period."

Gong Myung's Instagram Featured his Pre-Enlistment Look
The actor also took to social media and shared to his 1.6 million followers his pre-enlistment look.
Gong Myung's Instagram showcased a black and white photo of the actor featuring a serious expression while the other showed his candid face. "I'll be back safely!" he wrote, promising the fans for his safe return.
Over the comment section, fellow celebrities expressed their well wishes for the "Feel Good To Die" star.
It includes the "Miracle Cell in No. 7" Ryu Seung Ryong, who wrote "Have a safe trip."
The same goes for his "Be Melodramatic" co-star Chun Woo Hee who wished for a safe trip and healthy military service.
On November 9, Saram Entertainment announced Gong Myung's enlistment, stating that he would be an active-duty soldier on December 14.
Moreover, the label mentioned that it would be carried out privately because of the ongoing health crisis and asked for the fans' understanding.
"We ask for your warm support for Gong Myung, who will return after dutifully completing the military service given to him as a citizen of South Korea," the official statement reads.
Before his military enlistment, the 27-year-old star successfully wrapped up his last Kdrama, "Lovers of the Red Sky," with Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop.
