Jang Ki Yong's fans expressed their love for the actor by making a generous donation to his alma mater.

According to an outlet, the "Now We Are Breaking Up" star's fan cafe club had a donation drive to support scholarships in Ulsan High School, where the actor previously studied.

The group has contributed around 2,500 USD or 3 million KRW for long-term scholarships to deserving students through this charitable project.

Moreover, the donation is given twice a year- during the actor's debut anniversary dated October 21 and every end of the year.

Based on the report, the fan cafe revealed that Jang Ki Yong's supporters wanted to spread the "good influence" of the "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" star through meaningful projects.

"This was a plan by one member, but other members came along to spread good influence through a long-term project with all members included," the post reads.

In addition, his army of fans is looking at extending their support by finding new schools and organizations every year to help more students.

The 29-year-old South Korean heartthrob is currently serving in the military after enlisting on August 23.

Prior to the mandatory service, Jang Ki Yong wrapped up filming his Kdrama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" with Song Hye Kyo.

After premiering on November 12 and receiving a positive response from the public, the melodrama is set to bid goodbye with an upcoming finale in January.

The SBS drama is one of 2021's much-awaited series as it features the Hallyu star and is among the top-notch rising star in one series.

"Now, We Are Breaking Up" focuses on a realistic romance between Ha Young Eun, played by Song Hye Kyo and the jaw-dropping freelance photographer Yoon Jae Guk, played by Jang Ki Yong.

During their pictorial for Dazed Korea magazine, the lead stars are asked about their experience and thoughts about the Kdrama.

The heartthrob described his character as someone who has an "overflowing passion and confidence" in love and his career.

Moreover, he also revealed that playing Yoon Jae Guk is far different from his previous roles, making him "worried" about how he will portray the character.

As for his working relationship with Song Hye Kyo, the "Born Again" star felt like a "goal" to him.

"Something that I'd only pictured in my imagination ended up becoming a reality sooner than I had expected, so beginning from our first drama meeting, I felt really amazed. All I could think was, 'I need to do a good job," he explained.

"Now, We Are Breaking Up" is his second Kdrama this 2021 and before entering the military.

Before the melodrama, he starred in "My Roommate is a Gumiho" with Girl's Day Hyeri.
