Coupang Play confirms Kang Ha Neul's appearance in "SNL Korea" season 2. The 31-year-old heartthrob will appear as the show's guest host for its fourth episode.

Set to air on January 15, the "When the Camellia Blooms" star expressed his excitement and said that he's "always been a fan" of the show.

"I am happy and looking forward to appearing as a host in 'SNL Korea', which I have always been a fan of. We are doing this, so please look forward to it," he mentioned.


Kang Ha Neul will surely captivate the viewers' hearts with his charm and pleasant energy together with the "SNL Korea" cast.

To recall, the variety show previously guested the lead stars of "Work Later, Drink Now" Lee Sun Bin, Han Sun Hwa and Jung Eun Ji for its third episode.

Kang Ha Neul closed the year with a heartwarming movie, "A Year-End Medley," with a star-studded cast.

Apart from the actor, the melodrama film features Lee Dong Wook, Han Ji Min, Girls' Generation's YoonA, Seo Kang Joon, "Hellbound" actress Won Jin Ah, Lee Kwang Soo, Go Sung Hee, Kim Young Kwang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Kyu Hyung, Jo Joon Young, Won Ji An, Jung Jin Young and Lee Hye Young.

Released on December 29, "A Year-End Medley" follows the story of guests and employees at The Hotel Emros run by young hotel CEO Yong Jin played by the "Goblin" star.

As for the Kang Ha Neul, he took the people of hotel guest Jae Yong, who is ready to spend his year-end alone at Hotel Emros.

According to director Kwak Jae Yong, they are hopeful that the movie, which showcases "seven different kinds of love," will allow the viewers to escape from reality by witnessing the characters' heartwarming stories.

Interestingly, Forbes noted that "A Year-End Medley" arose as "the top Korean film at the Korean box office," garnering a total gross of $512,000 two days since it debuted.

Kang Ha Neul Stars 'The Pirates' Sequel

From one movie to another, Kang Ha Neul opened 2022 with a bang, headlining the highly anticipated sequel of "The Pirates." He transformed as bandit leader Woo Moo Chi in "The Pirates: Goblin Flag."

Moo Chi is also regarded as the best swordsman in Goryeo and his right hand Kang Seob, played by Kim Sung Oh.

According to Newsen, in "The Pirates 2," director Kim Jung Hoon praised the actor for his impressive portrayal of Woo Moo Chi.

He mentioned that Kang Ha Neul stands out as he displays dedication and passion for acting.

"The Pirates: Goblin Flag" cast includes Han Hyo Joo, Chae Soo Bin, Kwon Sang Woo and his "A Year-End Medley" co-star Lee Kwang Soo.
