Before her film "The Pirates: Goblin Flag" (also known as "The Pirates 2") airs, versatile actress Han Hyo Joo revealed how she prepared for her role as a pirate ships owner.

Han Hyo Joo Learns New Skills for Her Role in 'The Pirates: Goblin Flag'

Han Hyo Joo takes the role of Hae Rang, a female warrior and the owner of the pirate ship.

According to her, as a preparation for a challenging character, she has honed swordsmanship, steady action training, and acrobatics for three months.

With her newfound skills, the actress is expected to show intense actions and fight scenes in the movie.

Apart from it, Han Hyo Joo will also display her soft side by taking care of the pirate members who follow her as a bold and strong leader.

The 34-year-old star shared that through Hae Rang's character, she can unveil a new side of her in front of the audience. Han Hyo Joo mentioned that she tried not to focus too much in establishing her role as a strong leader but also give rooms for herself where she can display other personalities of her character, Hae Rang.

Han Hyo Joo feels overwhelmed by the viewers' expectations about the movie.

Han Hyo Joo's co-stars Kang Ha Neul, Lee Kwang Soo, Oh Sehun (EXO), Chae Soo Bin, Kwon Sang Woo, Kim Sung Oh, and Park Ji Hwan also underwent training months before filming the project.

EXO's Sehun, who plays the role of Han Gung, attended training to learn bow and is now ready to show his action stunts to the public.

Almost the same with her previous drama "Happiness," Han Hyo Joo was able to transform into a bold yet charming police commando, Sae Bom. Despite being in a dangerous situation due to the infectious disease outbreaks, Han Hyo Joo successfully displayed stable acting while also doing some intense action stunts with Park Hyung Sik.
