JTBC drops updates on the much-awaited Kdrama "Thirty-Nine" starring Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun.
The broadcast network announced the official release date of the romance series as well as entices fans with photos during script reading.
'Thirty-Nine' Release Date
Helmed by the "Age of Youth 2" director Kim Sang Ho and penned by "Run-Off" and "Encounter" screenwriter Yoo Young Ah, the JTBC's upcoming series follows the story of three friends who are on the verge of turning 40.
During their high school years, the trio met and grew up to become successful and beautiful ladies. Despite their achievements in life, they still wanted to accomplish something before they entered their forties.
Interestingly, JTBC announced the release date of "Thirty-Nine," which is slated to hit the small screen on February 16 at 10:30 PM KST.

JTBC Unveils Photos During 'Thirty-Nine' Script Reading
Apart from the official release date, JTBC also released a series of photos during the "Thirty-Nine" script reading.
Attended by Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun together with their leading men Lee Moo Saeng, Yeon Woo Jin and Lee Tae Hwan, fans get to see the undeniable chemistry of the cast during the Kdrama's run through.
The trio showed their natural chemistry as they played best friends in the drama.
In "Thirty-Nine," the "Crash Landing on You" star took on the role of Cha Mi Jo, a head dermatologist of a reputable clinic in the heart of Gangnam.
Despite growing up in a wealthy and loving family, she is eager to look for "the one" and wants to spend her last days as 39 with the person she loves.
Meanwhile, Jeon Mi Do is an acting teacher named Jung Chan Young, who dreams of becoming an actress.
"Thirty-Nine" is set to illustrate her unexpected success and she wished to "shine radiantly" before she turned 40.
Lastly, Kim Ji Hyun portrays the department store cosmetic manager Jang Joo Hee.
Among the three friends, she is the most timid. Her only wish before turning 40 is to "start a new stage in her life."
Sparking romance is the three leading men that will complete the trio's life.
Lee Moo Saeng will be coupled up with the "Hospital Playlist" actress and set to portray Cha Mi Jo's childhood classmate turned Camp Entertainment CEO Kim Ji Seok.
The upcoming Kdrama will display how he was mesmerized by Jung Chan Young's radiating beauty.
Meanwhile, Yeon Woo Jin will star opposite Son Ye Jin and take on the character of Kim Sun Woo, a dermatologist who is the same age as Cha Mi Jo.
After returning from the United States, he saw the head dermatologist and was immediately drawn to her stunning beauty.
Lastly, Lee Tae Hwan plays 35-year-old chef Park Hyun Joon. He runs his own restaurant in Chinatown, where he meets their regular customer Jang Joo Hee.
