Former Momoland Member Yeonwoo Officially Joins Han So Hee’s Agency + Confirmed to Star in Upcoming Drama ‘The Golden Spoon’

After months of discussion, former Momoland member Yeonwoo officially joins 9ato Entertainment.

The agency confirmed the news, announcing that the singer-actress is their newest talent.

Yeonwoo will now be labelmates with rising star Han So Hee, Yeon Seo Ah and Jung Il Woo, who joined the agency in April 2021.

According to 9ato Entertainment, they are thrilled to welcome and support the 25-year-old beauty for her future endeavors.

"We are very happy to have Yeonwoo, an actress with many talents, join our agency. We plan to support Yeonwoo to the fullest so that she can showcase her abilities freely," Yeonwoo's new agency said.

Back in October 2021, rumor sparked that the "Dali and the Cocky Prince" star would be leaving her then agency MLD Entertainment and eying to sign an exclusive contract to 9ato Entertainment after her contract expires.

Now, she is the management's new talent and is set to appear in an upcoming project.

Yeonwoo to Star in 'The Golden Spoon' with BTOB's Yook Sungjae and DIA's Jung Chaeyeon

Following the news about her new agency, Yeonwoo confirms her appearance in the forthcoming Kdrama "The Golden Spoon."

Helmed by "The Beauty Inside" and "The King's Affection" director Song Hyun Wook, the upcoming webtoon-based series is a psychological fantasy Kdrama that follows the story of a child raised from a poor family and uses a strange golden spoon to reverse his fate.

He mysteriously switched the life of his best friend, who was born into a wealthy family.

Through this, Yeonwoo will join "The Golden Spoon" cast alongside BTOB's Yook Sungjae and DIA's Jung Chaeyeon, who previously confirmed their appearance in the upcoming Kdrama.

As for the former Momoland member, she is set to portray the character of Oh Yeo Jin.

Born with a silver spoon, the female protagonist has a bold and fearless personality which undoubtedly raises the curiosity of the viewers.

Interestingly, "The Golden Spoon" will gear up its production and is scheduled to broadcast in 2nd half of 2022

Yeonwoo on her Experience in 'Dali and the Cocky Prince'

The upcoming Kdrama is her comeback to the small screen after landing a lead role in KBS' "Dali and the Cocky Prince."

Yeonwoo, who played Ahn Chak Hee, worked alongside fellow lead stars Kim Min Jae, Park Gyu Young, Hwang hee and Kwon Yool.

During the drama finale, the singer-actress shared her thoughts about her experience filming the romantic comedy series.

She described the last filming day as fun but felt "a lot of regrets," adding, "the regrets mean that I had a lot of fun, so I'm satisfied."

When asked about her most memorable scene, Yeonwoo chose the part where Ahn Chak Hee and Kim Da Li (Park Gyu Young) argued about blankets.

"I don't know why it's the most memorable, but I was shocked by her core strength," she said, noting that her co-star "wouldn't let go of the blankets no matter what."

Besides her upcoming Kdrama, Yeonwoo is also active on Instagram and often shares a glimpse of her life outside showbiz.
