After the success of "Hospital Playlist 2," Jeon Mi Do is returning to the small screen with the upcoming Kdrama "Thirty-Nine."
From being the top-notch neurosurgeon Chae Song Hwa, the 39-year-old beauty will transform into a totally different character alongside fellow lead stars Son Ye Jin and Kim Ji Hyun.
As JTBC gears for their forthcoming rom-com series that will surely make millions of hearts flutter, the broadcast network teases fans with new stills featuring the actress.
In the drama, Jeon Mi Doo took on the role of Jung Chan Young, an acting teacher whose lifelong dream is to become an actress.
Apart from her career, she enjoys being 39 and single with her two best friends, whom she met during high school.
Son Ye Jin plays Cha Mi Jo, who grew up in a wealthy family and is the head dermatologist of a renowned clinic in Gangnam.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Hyun took on the character of Jang Joo Hee, a cosmetics department store manager.
Despite working in different fields, the trio had one goal in life: to have their last hurrah before they reached their forties.
Jeon Mi Do Talks About Her Character in 'Thirty-Nine'
The 39-year-old actress dishes out her thoughts regarding her comeback on the small screen through JTBC's "Thirty-Nine."
In an interview, Jeon Mi Do shared the common denominator between Jung Chan Young and herself. The actress revealed that she enjoyed the story since her character is about her age.
"It was so fun that I read the script all at one time. Because it's a story about my age, I sympathized a lot with it," she said.

Moreover, if there's one word to describe her character, it would be "freedom."
"The way she expresses her thoughts and feelings without hesitation was attractive to me," Jeon Mi Do explained.
One of the main highlights of "Thirty-Nine" is the trio's chemistry and their lifelong friendship.
With this, the actress wished that the viewers would feel the genuine friendship through the three main leads.
"I hope you will be able to see how the friendship between the three friends is portrayed and how each of the love stories unfolds."
On the other hand, the production team teases fans with a glimpse of Jeon Mi Do's new role noting that "Jung Chan Young was custom-fit" to the actress.
'Thirty-Nine' Cast
Apart from Son Ye Jin, Kim Ji Hyun and the "Hospital Playlist" star, the "Thirty-Nine" cast includes three dashing leading men.
Lee Moo Saeng will play the role of Champ Entertainment CEO Kim Jin Seok, who is also Cha Mi Do's former schoolmate and will be Jeon Mi Do's loveline.
Yeon Woo Jin will transform into a charismatic 39-year-old dermatologist and is one of Cha Mi Jo's colleagues.
Lastly, Lee Tae Hwan took on the character of entrepreneur, chef and Chinatown president named Park Hyun Joon.
"Thirty-Nine" is scheduled to air its premiere on February 16 via JTBC and Netflix.
